President Trump

Well, quite.

UK govt seems to be doing a decent job tactically, but that can only take us so far. Question is what's the strategy - continue to hedge on the fence, to align with US, or with Europe. It makes some sense in the short term not to be too strident on anything, but longer term anything other than a strong pivot to Europe is disastrous for us, I think.

I would stronger concur, play for time, not too aggressive, Trump isn't going to start taking g sensible pills any time soon.

Honestly, I think this hugely underestimates the significance of what's occuring. Things are never going to go back to how they were.

Just my opinion.
Time will tell - I agree that it feels like this is a watershed moment, but in terms of UK/US relations (which I've never believed are as special as all our PMs like to claim) I think that any acrimony will be reversible.

I hate the fact that in 100 years' time, history books will be full of Trump.

Ye but it will be in the same vain as Hitler and Stalin, his legacy will be of rack and ruin.

Very bad things are happening today. Trump will apply tariffs on the entire world and the blow back will be detrimental to us.

We need to get back into the customs union very quickly, and all these countries who are worst effected by the tariffs, we need to get together and help each other out. Create new trade deals to offset the loss of trade from the US markets.

The US economy will fall off a cliff and hopefully Trump will go the way of Liz Truss.

More pork markets with China?

Just like the two main parties.... No Farage is not the answer to the Trump problem.
I asked if he was the answer for the UK, as you said neither of the 2 main parties was fit for office. Didn't mention shitgibbon so you can stop tagging me in every time you do

Lettuce pray it comes to pass

Actually, I think you'll find that that is a myth...

So who is pulling the strings with the tariffs, Trump just spouts it and is that think he doesn’t get it, his advisers against all other experts say tariffs will work, are they just too afraid to tell him. It’s the same with Greenland, no way Trump even knows where it is nevermind about the minerals, so who’s told him about them? That’s the worry if he dies tomorrow I don’t think much will change,
