Roll call for 9 minute protest

I think this protest is the most braindead idea anyone has ever come up with.

You are looking at 20-30 mins of disruption, as people try and get to their seats. It's bad enough when people turn up late.
Anyone thought about what will happen if City get a penalty or score a goal in the 9th minute? Or there is an emergency in the crowd?

I fully support the sentiment. I fully endorse reasonable action and protest. But I will never agree to an action that places stress and unknowns into crowd management at times when the stadium is not designed to cope with them.

The demonstration tonight eclipses Trumps Tariff Liberation Day announcement tonight.

At Blackpool when they were trying to get rid of the hated Oyston regime, the fans split into two groups. One was the boycotters who wouldn't go to home games, on one occasion marching to Bloomfiedl Rd then going to watch a local amateur side. They would still support Blackpool away. The other group were " Not a penny more" they would go to matches and retain their season tickets. They would buy nothing at the ground and appealed to visiting fans not to buy programmes, drinks, pies etc, with mixed results. Things could get heated between both groups, I had friends in both camps and some nights in the pub, it would get like ,"What have the Romans done for us from "the life of Brian". With their combined efforts the Oystons have gone but their does not seem to be universal love for Simon Saddler. As a veteran of the " Swales Out" days I can only say be careful what you wish for.
To be fair, it’s nowhere near Blackpool/Oyston levels where we want the owners removed. We just want them to listen to the concerns of fans and engage in a meaningful way, rather than a box-ticking way.

As for the Oystons, I remember being at a FSF North West meeting in 2016 in Blackpool one weekend when there were no top flight games due to an international break. Subject matter was Clubs in Crisis with fan groups of Blackpool, Blackburn, and Bolton speaking about the issues they were facing with the owners of their clubs. Afterwards we went for a couple of pints in a boozer. Blackpool were at home to Notts County that day. As kick-off time approached the Notts County fans left the pub to go to the game, while the Blackpool fans all stayed in the pub!

Over the top reaction.

Absolutely no difference between this and fans going to and from the concourse at half time.

If the stadium can’t cope with that then it isn’t fit to host events.

Nothing OTT about that post whatsoever!

Won’t you think of the children??!!!!!

I just want the people who are saying "none of this stuff has an impact" to realise that a man who was sat negotiating a trillion dollar deal with President Trump recently just had a leak to a fan account attempting to lessen the impact on the reputation of him and his employer entirely due to this action.

What if City get a penalty or score a goal or there’s an emergency after all the early leavers fuck off well before from 9 minutes left every game?

Since 2017 we’ve had 6 price increases. And for every fan since Covid who have hit their tolerance limit, their season tickets have been turned into tickets bought from ticket tout sites bought by people who may or may not have any interest in City and have no membership even if they are City fans.

Can I suggest you research the definition of a narcissist is? Because wanting to support a cause for others is the exact opposite.

Maybe you should go back to complaining about the rest of the worlds issues. You are aware this the blue moon forum aren't you? You know, where we debate things affecting Man City ?

Dreary me

Maybe you should find another team to support. Nearly two decades of the best football we have seen and millions spent and people are upset that they "aren't being heard"?
