There’s been a hierarchy going back to 2001 and before. The introduction of Loyalty Points was because those who put the hard yards in deserve to be ahead of those who don’t. Certainly before those who just pay a bit more or can get access to things many have spent decades building up, just by buying from a worldwide ticket tout site.
I’ve already seen some American woman on X boasting that she’s got a ticket for the Derby on Sunday, yet after decades of building up over 20,000+ points, loads of Blues can’t get a sniff.
For Wembley there’s a staged criteria when people can get tickets because there’s a hierarchy. This should exist for big home games as well for me. Many Blues who’ve been going to City for decades didn’t get a ticket for the CL semifinal against Madrid, one of the greatest nights in the club’s history, yet thousands of nobodies were there probably for their first ever live football match… that’s not right.
