Roll call for 9 minute protest

after we get done with the charges and go in to league 2, most of the day trippers will go and then we can get decent ticket prices with a 60k ground to fill,

Ok clown, whatever you think, but the protest did NOTHING. In fact, there were less people there with 15 mins to go at the end than there were with 8 minutes gone at the start.

All we saw in the stadium at 9 mins were pockets of egotistical blokes come storming out shouting and ranting to other fans. It was more about them making their scene than standing up for people who actually can't afford tickets.

In fact, I saw many of the same people come in after the protest at 9mins, then disappear to the bar 10 mins before half time, arrive in their seats late for the second half only to disappear for good with 10 mins to go. What messaged does that send out about the legitimacy of the protest??
You're either lying or stupid if you think the protest did nothing...

Worldwide media attention around a game that wasn't even televised in the UK.

You called it wrong. It's ok to be wrong sometimes. It happens to all of us. No point making this a hill to die on. Just accept you got it wrong and the protest went brilliantly. Anything else just makes you look bitter.

Very pleased to see huge spaces in all parts of the ground at kick off time, the foreign channel commented on it so it will gain some traction a bit globally too, something has to give with the issues facing loyal supporters,a big thanks to all fans who made a commitment and missed a goal for this cause.

To be egotistical is to have an inflated view of your self-importance — basically to think you're better than everyone else. You might express this egotism by constantly reminding Blue Moon forum members that you have a magnificent mind.

He’s right though. Maybe the Bournemouth fella does go and just hasn’t replied. As it stands though he’s telling people to the support the club at the stadium from his armchair.

I’ve got views on the protests etc but as someone who doesn’t put my money into the club and happily watches them on telly instead, I’m in no position to comment. I’m certainly not in a position to tell others the club needs to be supported better.
He's previously posted he has never lived in Greater Manchester and has been to the Etihad once. Yet he's embarrassed by some fans missing a goal live. Clearly doesn't do irony.

What does the FSA think?

A massive hat-tip to all supporters who took part last night and to the organisers of the protest – these are not easy things to pull off and they’ve organised what is arguably the most visible in-stadium ticket price protest since Liverpool fans walked off the Kop in 2016.

Yeah, course you did mate. You observed all that did you? Why the fuck weren’t you watching the match instead?

As for the protest doing nothing, how did you work that one out?

You're a real 'I'm a better fan than everyone else' kinda guy aren't you. Get off your high horse ffs
No I’m not actually. I just find it amusing that someone watching at home is shitting their pants about opposition fans taking the piss.

That said, although I don’t play football fan Top Trumps I’m going to make an exception for you. After your laughable trolling of @Manchester33 yesterday, I’ll have you know that he’s more of a City fan than you’ll ever be, given that he has given up hundreds of hours of his own time to ensure we have a better atmosphere in the stadium, campaigned tirelessly on issues that matter to the fans, and has probably started more songs off at City games than you’ve had hot dinners. He’s also one of the nicest people you could ever meet, whereas you come across as a right ****!

I'm surprised this is still 'Rolling' on but I guess it will be an ongoing issue.
In spite of a couple of posters continually mocking it and crying it was a huge success. Every news and sports outlet reported it and have been discussing it today. That was also just a pretty late planned protest. We can and will do better if our concerns aren't listened to.
I'm not even sure the two wankers mouthing off against it ever go to the games and are actually City fans. Fuck them.

Exactly, this could be just the start. We’re not going to allow the core fan base to be replaced and the club need to wake up to this. Let’s hope they listen or I suspect the protest will be bigger and better next time.

To be honest, when I saw the highlights this morning on the City website, I was embarrassed. Mny City fans missed the first goal, and just fuelled the empty seats propaganda. There are surely better ways to make the owners listen. What concerned me more were the number of empty seats at the end of the game. We need to show our support for the team.

Ffs. Anybody that goes knows the amount of empty seats is always exaggerated on social media. Usually pictures taken before kick off or half time to give the illusion it's like that during the game. Often from individuals that have never stepped foot inside a football stadium themselves either. Surely you have thicker skin than this?!

I'm happy they scored in the 9 minutes we were on the concourse. Would have had a bigger impact with Grealish wheeling away celebrating to a half empty stand than not. The players are that out of touch with reality it may have even been a talking point amongst themselves.

He hasn’t aged much in 12 years, as he. :-)

City fans protesting against the price of (away) match tickets (at Arsenal).

Listen Soriano, you can come on here with your insults, but we've got you sussed.

Hate to say this, but you do sound like you have a very fragile personality. Have you considered talking to someone about it?

I thought it went well last night. I was in 313 and we just laughed and said "Typical City" and it had to Jack that scored. Great sight seeing the South Stand start filling up on 9 minutes. Brilliant!

For those mocking what happened:

30 years ago, it cost me £36.00 for 2 adults and 2 children at Maine Road.

If that was last night in 313, it would have cost £86.00.
IF, that was in 314 etc, it would have cost £148.00 for those same 2 adults and children.
Though there's the caveat of memberships costing £110.00 to factor in.

According to the BoE, adjusting for inflation, that £36.00 would be £74.89 in today's money.

Let's keep the pressure on. Not just from us but from ALL supporters.
