The main point was the club wasn't removing us from English football like you said.

This was a common misconception at the time with people misunderstanding what the Super League was and it's still being misunderstood today.

To be clear, I am wholly against the Super League and also protested last night.

City felt they had to join and become and founding member as all the main clubs had joined it. It was purely a move to protect the future of the club.

Do you seriously believe that people think that Sheikh Mansour sets the ticket prices for each game? Or had anything to do with the Madrid ticket debacle? Or that he's personally decided new season tickets aren't available?

A discussion for another thread but the reality is if you decide to join another league, which has not been sanctioned, it’s then completely unrealistic to think the other league is going to base its calendar around your fixtures. The consequences were pretty obvious to all those involved. Anyway we might have to agree to disagree so as not to derail the thread.
