We know he’s the best premier league player so do the red media but they’ll never admit it. Thankyou Kev what an absolute pleasure it has been to watch you! So many good memories but the goal against Chelsea when he skinned kante who tried to break his legs then bent it in the bottom corner left me sat there open mouthed. What a player and what a humble gentleman aswell. Thankyou and good luck king Kev!

Sad that this day has come, but almost certainly the correct decision for Kev and the club.

Doesn’t make it any easier to hear or deal with though. He has played football in a way that no other player can match, a privilege to have him at the club for so long.

Wish him the very best in his next venture.

Hopefully his future career might see him return in some capacity.

I truly felt a knot in my stomach when I heard this. He is one of our greatest, if not THE greatest, players and deserves to be in that conversation with the great Colin Bell. I have a feeling we're going to see a rejuvenated KDB for the rest of the season. The ultimate send-off would be at Wembley when he lifts that FA Cup.

As for favorite goals, so many to choose from, but I can still hear that bar rattle with that sensational volley at Newcastle.

Do we reckon he plays in the CWC? Pep says he doesn’t know himself. Does anyone know which month his contract actually runs out?

Favourite moments:

- Winning the ball and teeing up the perfect assist for Gundogan to win the league against villa
- That game against Stoke. The assist for Sane was sublime, but was a monster the whole game
- In the treble season, equalising against Madrid in the first leg, enabling us to dominate at home
- Assists, like against Newcastle, where he'd cut through three or four players

City's best ever player

It would be impossible to replace him, it seems both he and Gundogan will leave. We would need two world-class midfielders to replace him. We had been lucky with Toure, Silva, and Gundogan.

Best player I've seen in a City shirt, and I've seen Bell, Lee & Summerbee in their prime. KDB could do it all. Bell's running and passing, Lee's rocket of a shot from distance, Buzzer's physical side and tenacity, plus his crossing.

In some ways it probably helps ease the parting having seen his decline over the last two seasons. We've got used to playing without him but he will be sorely missed.
I share those views Colin. Growing up my heroes were Bell, Lee & Summerbee. Been a fan since 1965, but Kev is the best I’ve seen, just ahead of King Colin, Kun, Silva and Yaya. We’ll never see the likes of him again.
