PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It's gonna be announced at the end of the season, isn't it? We may as well forget about it for now...
I hope it's earlier, but I can't see it…I think they're waiting til we've got no games left.

It’s almost like we know the result…

This is a huge hard signal imo. You don’t start taking the league and other clubs on from a position of weakness.

I can’t see a negative. City have gotten the league by the balls. The real financial cheats is the very same club that termed the phrase “financial doping” and wrote it on a letter.

Now we are getting somewhere. No wonder that **** bloom won’t sell to us.
It's not exactly a suprise when the EPL tried circumventing the illegal apt rules without properly addressing the shareholder loans. The only winners out of this in my eyes are Chelsea who have managed to get the hotel & women team sale through as a sweater for not voting against the vote.

So that’s why Txiki is leaving - Chelsea were given his transfer sweater for not voting !!!

I think we have lost the 115 case

Thats why the club is starting another fight

Started another fight ???

Totally irrelevant to the 115 case & the EPL are trying to run roughshod over the APT rules being illegal in the 1st place. Do we just bend over and let the cartel clubs do what they want ???

That needs a proper independent investigation. Chelsea sold the women’s team for something like £200 million but the whole women’s game is valued at around £210 million. Lol

It’s a joke and in plain sight. Will any reports suggest that Chelsea cheated the system? No.

The more the league colludes the more city’s claim becomes valid. I don’t care what Chelsea have done to circumvent punishment but I want them treated with distain from every corner of the media. The same should apply to Arsenal and any other club that found a loophole. I also expect investigation from the premier league.

You would expect a league that has unrivalled success due to certain clubs like Liverpool in the 70s, united in the 90s, Chelsea in the 2000s and City over the last 10 plus years that we would be admired and held in high esteem for bringing in huge commercial revenue with Sergio and many other close title races but oh no the other clubs and masters don’t like it so have tried to cut our knees from under us.

Can’t we all play fair? It’s seems not.

Completely different panel. One is a disciplinary panel, the other is the tribunal for a rule X arbitration. So the APT panel is one where we chose one arbitrator, the PL chose the second and the third was agreed between the two chosen arbitrators. The 115 panel was chosen by the PL.

So there's no overlap between the panels, and any overlap between the lawyers is a non-point because we know the 115 hearing concluded last year. And we know from the APT 2 decision that City had already launched the APT 3 arbitration by the end of January: para 69 of APT 2 says
"However, there remains for decision (in the fresh arbitration commenced on 20 January 2025) whether the November 2024 Amended APT Rules are valid and effective."

All that's happened is that the statement of case we provided in January has now been passed to the other clubs, and - quelle surprise - it ended up being leaked.
Is it fair/ correct to say the 115 panel was chosen by the PL?

Here’s what the PL say

“ The League has access to an independent Judicial Panel, comprising a number of legal, financial and other experts. Members of the Judicial Panel are appointed, in accordance with Premier League Rules W.19, W.20 and W.26, by its independent Chair, Murray Rosen KC, an experienced barrister. It is the Chair who selects members of the Judicial Panel to sit on Commissions, which are independent of the Premier League and its clubs”

the most serious of the charges are that the accounts we submitted were false by any letter of the law that is fraud and fraud is a criminal offence, there is no 2 ways about that, this remains why i am unconcerned as if the pl had what they say they do both the police and HMRC would have knocked at our doors by now.
I thought the most serious charges were hiding sponsorship money. Although I'm no legal mind, Isn't this more to do with our books not tallying with the cartel induced ffp rules and why they do when they're audited through a company not connected to the EPL.

The problem is we all know who is deciding what is fair.

What makes me laugh, (it would be angry if it wasn't so obvious) is that we are being retrospectively penalised for destroying the cartel.

Sheikh Mansour invested in 2008 when there were no ffp rules in Europe or the EPL, so even if he did hide sponsorship or investment, which CAS said we didn't, it is no different to what Jack Walker did at Blackburn or the Moores family for Everton & Liverpool

Good post.
The hypocrisy of dipper fans always gets me.
We were the champions of England when Liverpool were breaking transfer records in the second division.

They accuse us of financial doping, how many titles and European cups did they buy up with Moores money.
Short memories.
