Thankyou Kevin for your vision, class, ability to see things 3 seconds before anybody else and for staying with City for your best years as a footballer. All the very best in your next endeavour...please come back & coach one day.

Never won premium league player of the month in ten years I wonder how many he’d have won if he played for the rags? Clear and obvious

A true gentleman aswell.
A little story of old. My youngest met KDB, Foden and Walker at his football christmas do about 5 years ago. A real gent. He sat down with my youngest, asked him about his football, family etc but the best thing he did was take him to the ice cream stall on his own and treated him to the biggest ice cream I have ever seen. Top man he was. My lad never forgets that.
Walker tried to finger blast my Mrs when I wasn't looking....dirty twat.

Genuine laugh out loud at the Walker line - thank you

Having supported City since 1963, the only midfield player I have seen that can compare with Kevin is Colin Bell. I wouldn’t like to have to choose between them.
It is virtually impossible to compare players from different eras. The game changes so much in every way. For example, King Colin was a master at negotiating the muddy quagmires prevalent in his day. I doubt if Kev has ever seen mud on the pitch.
Each player is unique with his own characteristics. So comparison is a fruitless task. Nevertheless, I am going to do it. I have carried the love of King Colin in my heart for over 50 years and I have no guilt in saying I think Kev was a better player. Why do I say this? I have no idea except my heart says: it’s Kev, you know, it’s Kev.
The King is dead, long live the King.

Surprised no one’s asked for pictures yet…

I am a 78 year old woman and have supported City since I was 9 years old. I don't live in Manchester and never have but this team captured me in the 1956 Cup Final. When I lived in London I became a season ticket holder and over years have seen all the greats. I sadly can no longer afford a season ticket.
Kevin is best I have ever seen in our glorious blue shirt. He is the type of player who takes your breathe away.
I played for QPR women's team back in the 70's and recently, we as a team, were invited to the Football Museum in Manchester and I mentioned that I had followed City all my life and that Kevin was my all time favourite.
Someone must have said something to the club because I recieved a video message from Kevin.
I will always be grateful he took the time to do that. He will never know what that means to me.
Wherever you go Kevin, I wish you nothing but the best. We will never see your like again but I am so happy I was around to see you in City Blue. Thank you. Now win that cup.
A fantastic post
