FA Cup SF Draw | Nott'm Forest | Sun 27 April 16:30 | ITV1

The rags capacity is higher than ours now and they are still fucking shit.
Nevertheless there's a very strong correlation between stadium size and success. The reasons are obvious,

I'd contemplate sharing a stadium to ensure we remain no.1. If they build that stadium, it will be very difficult to remain the dominant club in Manchester over time, and your children and grandchildren who will likely be blues will have to live in that world.

In 1999 where were Man Utd and where were Manchester City. Then forward to 2012. If Man Utd end up with a 100k stadium then history may unwind.
I still don’t know what you’re talking about.
If you’re not on the wind up though thou must live in a world where everything is fluffy and nice.

I will have another go...

In 1999, Man Utd won the Treble as we were beating Gillingham in the DIv 2 playoff. In 2008, City were taken over and Sheikh Mansour invested huge sums into the infrastructure of the club and the playing squad and by 2012 we were Premier League champions. We didn't stop there the noisy neighbours went on to win the Champions League and 4 titles on the trot whilst Man Utd have not even competed for the league title since 2013. In other words Manchester City upset the applecart. It's a cycle. Cycles can reverse or unwind.

https://e-space.mmu.ac.uk/12506/1/seasonticketreport - brown1.pdf

2001: 6678/16481 where the numerator is the number of seasoncard holders with M postcodes, and the denininator the number of season ticket holders

Then look at City Matters minutes from mancity.com and consider that 1 in 2 seasoncard holders don't go to CL games, and that we haven't sold seasoncard holders for quite some time.

I can’t be arsed reading all that shit. But if it is equating having an M postcode, with being in Greater Manchester, it’s nonsense.

There’s loads of postcodes other than M in GM. A lot of people with an SK or WA postcode live closer to the ground than people with an M.

I was asked to prove that my assertion that most City fans don't live in Manchester. The work I cited does so for the year 2001. In short, in that year the majority of City season ticket holders had none Manchester postal codes.

There's no fucking way I would go if we were ground sharing with the rag cunts.
Surprisingly Bournemouth are a better team than the rags ..their stadium must be huge then eh.
You might be happy to ground share but I really doubt many blues will be in your corner regarding that.
Dortmund have a bigger capacity and fill it every game but Bayern win the league most years..so that blows your bigger stadium to success correlation to pieces.
Let's do a vote for ground sharing with the scum

I vote NO

No it's not ideal. But you have a choice of joint owing a 100k stadium or living in a football world that will slowly return to 1980-1990.

It’s worked for Spurs though just look how their new huge ground has led to them dominating English football.

Time average Bournemouth, City and Utd by success.

There's no law but there's a connection between economics and success in football.

Debt. And time.

Are you really arguing that a Man Utd stadium of 100k has zero effect on the playing field? Why do you think Sheikh Mansour immediately invested in the infrastructure of MCFC?

Fuck sake Marvin derailing another thread going off on a tangent..

who the fuck cares what those cunts build and what the fuck has it to do with our semi final.

we have a thread laughing at their fantasy already.

If I click on this it is for semi final news not a chat about how many cunts can fit in the swamp

Every FA Cup semi-final there are discussions on where the final is played. I'll stop commenting on this now but to conclude once their stadium plan comes on the agenda, City are presented with a number of strategic responses, one legitimate response would be to own that stadium and destroy any local competitive advantage. It's a legitimate thought / response.

what’s that got to do with sharing a stadium? It sounds you want them to be jointly successful with us? Or am I getting that wrong?

I’d argue the good investment and management are a greater factor, they’ve got the largest club ground at the moment working a treat ain’t it. I’m off there this afternoon and unless they’re winning I’ll guarantee you’ll only hear the Mancunian section.

The fans get diluted, the atmosphere suffers, they are only bothered about money with the oil running out. Picking up cheap land near central Manchester which has shot up was a very shrewd move.

Do we know yet who will pay for this massive stadium?
