Pep was famed for his detailed preparation and insisting on all the little details. When we were going well all these little details were spot on. You can see now even with short passes they are just behind the player and this stops all momentum. Even with throw ins we prefer to go 30 ft back than find a forward player.

The constant training rondos seem to have conditioned the players muscle memory and we now never see those wonderful defence splitting passes of old. I can't make up my mind if this is a coaching thing or a lack of real quality in key areas.

Sometimes it feels as if we are playing like a sprinter trying to win a race with wellies on. I do think this feels like a bigger fix than we envision.

Gvardiol to The left and Khusanov in the middle with Nico instead of Gundogan + Savinho for KDB was too much to expect I guess. Not hard PEP!
