United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

spot on....I said at the start of the season when we won a few games that we werent playing well and we would struggle to get top 5...well here you go

There’s no doubt in my mind that these performances are exacerbated by our previous high standards.

Yet, we just don’t seem to have any sort of attacking intent or plan. We used to love the underlapping run to the byline but even that’s dried up.

It’s risk free football against sides who are intent to turn up for a draw and make no mistakes.

To have KDB, Bernardo, kova and gundo on the pitch at the same time is criminal. Absolutely outrageous starting 11.
i agree
thank god that wont happen next season for sure
players will be leaving

and we will get new AM for sure

Probably the worst Manchester derby I’ve ever witnessed.
Glad I took the dogs out at 70 minutes.
I couldn’t stomach seeing them celebrate a winner, which was looking likely.
I’m still traumatised by that shit show at home.
I’m happy with the point (ffs)

Ah 5th in the league, into an fa cup semi, while missing our best striker, a balon d'or winner, most of our defence for most of the season and without a left or right back, first world problems indeed, i wonder if southampton who got relegated today would like our huge issues, im no happy clapper and clearly some things need addressing but my god the overreaction is hilarious, i wonder if the rags who are struggling to finish top ten after spending a billion would like our huge issues.
That's not really the point is it? By that logic staying up this season would be worth celebrating, not nearly enough given our setup is it?

*Oh and so far, we've gone 1 round further than Preston.

Long time since I've seen a game that bad, never mind a derby.

Zero quality from both teams and says everything United were better than us.

Not angry, just indifferent, as Pep isn't doing us any favours this season, in terms of team selection.

Josko and Dias looked decent together and Eddie did what he had to, Marmoush with some tidy work.

The rest are old and tired, so don't know what Phil's excuse is?
Not vintage Phil but he had a few half chances.

We are far better than the rags!

In what universe are they our equals?

We've come off the back of a four consecutive Premier League title. They've been limping through the division for fucking years.

The league is gone for us, top 5 is a safety net (for better or for worse) and the FA Cup is a major priority for Pep.

It's annoying that the game was shite and we made the filth look half competent in patches but we're a far superior team to that shower of shites.
Saw no evidence of any of that today

Very boring Darby, but with that starting midfield we should be very happy with one point, no one has any form what so ever
We desperately need pace and creativity in that area, Bernie, Gundo, Foden, KDB and Kovacic no speed no form, the positive side we where solid defensively Dias and Guardiol solid in the middle and Nunes and O”reily where good on the sides but it would be really nice to see what city would be with players that is used to play fullback
Don't tell Joan!

i’m sometimes unjustly accused of being a happy clapper. But that was just turgid sh1t with little desire. Phil has turned into Roy Cropper overnight and I thought the scum singing about his mum might fire him up but to no avail. To not beat what is probably their worse team since the 70’s is a shambles and worryingly we didn’t deserve to. We need to set our own agenda for games instead of spending ages trying to suss them out I think they call it respecting They have literally nothing to play for in the league and we still didn’t have the guile or endeavour to take control and win it.
As Rick Mayall said BORING BORING BORING

Well this is where we are now is it.

How dare you ask how Southampton fans are feeling. Ungrateful fuckers will be in the championship next season. Bowers and Pitsea have been relegated out of the Isthmian.

I disagree re Grealish being a bad signing, in a good, possession based attacking team, someone like him can keep it going, buying fowls and keeping the momentum rather than giving it away, particularly against the top sides. Sadly, we are now miles off that and because of that he's lost some of his usefulness.
Those chickens aren’t cheap.

The mighty man u scared to cross their own halfway line at home. Bus parkers FC, worst rags side in a generation and yet we played with the handbrake on all game.

I know we're not at our best and no Akanji, Ake, Stones, Rodri and Haaland is a big reason for that (no mention from Sky unsurprisingly), but we had enough talent out there to take the game to them and to not even bring Savinho on is baffling to be honest.

Hopefully it's a point on the way to champions league football, but that was painful to watch.
Fair fuck BC you have more faith than me .

Look at Peps body language. When we are on it or "are there " as he calls it then he perks up. But when that's not the case he retreats into himself. In those moments I get the feeling he would like to be somewhere else. I could be wrong.
maybe but I interepret that (as its been there all season) as he knows he cant do anything about it with the players he has...he knows KDB is done....he was clearly part of the decision not to offer KDB a new contract and rightly so...same with gundo - Pep knows he aint got the players to change anything at present.

still a bit shocked we manage to draw that game
its like we were playing with 11 non existing players
no players seemed like they want to win the game

I think the main problem I have with that absolute shit show of a performance is that it really didn't have to be that way, pep picked that side with too much sentiment kev/gundo/Bernardo/kovacic and even foden this season should not be named on the same team sheet, we had others sat on the bench that would have been able and ready to do a far better job.
