Palace will win 1-3. Pep will play the same ream as today and get hit on the counter with Mateta and Eze.

Won't be any walk in the park for City , but we don't usually do badly at Selhurst Park, and the game is winnable if we show the desire to win it!

from what’s available

Ederson

Lewis Dias gvardiol. O riley

Foden Gonzalez KDB

Savinho Marmoush doku

When everyone is fit I would go back to…

Ederson

Stones Dias Akanji Ake

KDB Rodri Foden

Marmoush Haaland Doku

Looking at these 2 teams, it’s clear Rodri and the constant injuries to our defence has been the main problem.

Closely followed by pep persisting with Gundogan and kovacic.

With Rodri and Foden central I have no doubt KDB would be back to his best!

No it won't be a walk in the park but just a heads up we are at home next we

We know what will happen, 65% possession, little to no threat. I don’t think it matters what the lineup is, the style of play is done.
The style of play is down to injuries and age. Think back beyond this season.

This is going to be a difficult game that Palace will be looking forward to. Mateta is on a hot streak but we should win.

We have to win or finishing in cl position gets really hard.

I do agree this is not the game for the pensioners. Palace hit a bit of form, imo they may come here for an upset rather than to defend out a 0-0.

Kovacic, Gundo, Bernardo, KDb, I think maximum 2 of these can start. And may need to add Foden to this list too sadly.

I would go with Nico, Bernardo midfield, at least Bernardo puts in a tackle sometimes. Then Grealish, Fode, Savinho and Marmoush up top. but honestly wouldnt be against Echeverri making a surprise start behind the striker.

we need to surprise Palace instead of do what they 100% expect a slow KDB, Gundo duo with not much strength and firepower.

wanna see Bobb again, albeit wonder who doesnt make the squad if he does if there are no new injuries. guess its Reis or McAtee.

After today against United - who made us look comfortably second best imho - anyone who picks KDB or Lewis as a starting option needs their fuckin' head feeling.

I gave up trying to predict what PEP might do a year or 2 ago, but in the past few months, his selections have become very disappointingly predictable. He is demonstrating the correctness of Einstein's insanity theory.

I doubt there will be any surprises with this lineup. Palace are in form and very good. They started awful - getting only 16 points in their first 19 games. If they had gotten 3 more wins in that stretch, they would be top 6. This is the game that worries me most. Along with Villa. Pep will probably start:

Ederson, Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, Lewis, Kovacic, Gundo, Bernardo, KDB, Foden, Marmoush. But this is going to be a pacey game. We need to have Nico G, Doku and Savinho in.

Yep, well spotted, my error ........ you just never know with Palace, no matter what the venue is, they have had one or two good results at our place over the years, they have pace in their side, and some quality players ..... we are now running out of games to seal a CL place, and we have to start picking up three points in games or we'll risk losing out.

I've tried to predict the team so many times but I start typing and then immediately give up.

With the players we've got available, I'd love to see this (below) but... you just cannot call a thing anymore.

Ederson
Nunes Khusanov Dias Gvardiol
Gonzalez O'Reilly
Doku Grealish Savinho
Marmoush

Should we start early and slag the team off seems to be the norm on match day on here.

I think the 'best' of KDB has long gone, his shooting, his pace, are off the mark from what they once were, and he struggles to really effect games in the way that he once did ...... and quite what the problem with Foden is is anyone's guess, he reckoned he was burnt out, then he said he was over that and getting back to form, yet now he seems to have regressed again .... he just doesn't look to be the player he was last season.

I still think Rodri needs a top quality player in midfield with him, when he finally returns, because KDB and Bernardo are not gonna provide the answers anymore ..... those were two players who could reguarly chip in with goals, yet neither really seems capable of doing it now .... and we will never be truly be able to rely on Jack Grealish, he will always flatter to decieve.

I'd go with:

Ederson

Nunes Dias Gvardiol O'Reilly

Gonzalez Bernardo

Foden

Savinho Marmoush Grealish

I'd leave the defence alone for the time being after a couple of clean sheets but I suspect we might see Khusanov coming back in and Gvardiol being shunted to LB again.

Toss up between Kovacic, Gundogan and Bernardo. I put Bernardo in for his higher work rate but could really be any of the 3. Hopefully no more than one of them start.

I've included Foden more in hope than expectation that he can find some form. I perhaps would have played Bobb in his position but he didn't even make the bench yesterday so probably not fit enough to start yet. Hopefully will get some time on the pitch though. Could also swap Grealish and Foden around and see if playing on the left can somehow spark some life into Foden.

I wouldn't include Doku after the last couple of games. He and KdB are probably best used as impact subs against tiring teams.
