Fair comment but we didn't exactly try to get past the buses inistead we simply queued up to get on them, it wasn't just them that were awful.Congratulations to United's ground staff, getting eleven buses on and off the pitch without damaging the surface is quite a feat, however, it must be noted that they have had plenty of practice under this manager
No problemoThanks for making me laugh this evening.
But we dropped 5 against them ..They beat us = 3 points
We drew = 1 point
They have taken 4 points off us this season,
I used to be this delusional in my younger years, look at anything and everybody else before looking inwards. United are crap, they are a bottom half team playing against the champions. They won't come out and play gung ho will they, they will play like a lot of teams and have a low block because they know we have no answers to it. Look at us and how shockingly bad we are at breaking down teams, we are the problem not themCongratulations to United's ground staff, getting eleven buses on and off the pitch without damaging the surface is quite a feat, however, it must be noted that they have had plenty of practice under this manager
I could always see a goalless draw happening though, even before we kicked off ..... neither side has been impressive this season, both have struggled to create chances and score goals, both sides overall performances have been littered with mistakes, and neither team has shown much consistency ... if any!We should’ve buried them yesterday. A combination of Pep’s team selection and players lack of legs and sharpness brought us down to their level. The worst Derby I’ve witnessed live in terms of quality and passion. Waste of a pleasant afternoon.
No chance, the only situation where I can see Peps job being under pressure is if he misses out on CL qualification for two seasons in a row.Do we think that if we hadn't have won the league last season Pep would've been out by now?
Just pointing out that City have scored 57 goals this season as against 37 scored by the rags…I could always see a goalless draw happening though, even before we kicked off ..... neither side has been impressive this season, both have struggled to create chances and score goals, both sides overall performances have been littered with mistakes, and neither team has shown much consistency ... if any!
I just never saw this match being a spectacle .... more just a dour battle.
City either want a Champions League place, or they don't, and whilst i saw a resilience from us not to lose the game yesterday, i never once saw enough from us to think that we would actually win it ..... games are fast counting down now, and we can't be taking chances if we want that CL place, one or two other clubs around us are not letting up ..... we need to be 'grinding' out wins from games like yesterday's, no matter how well we play!
Expecting highest level of football, therein points, season in season out is a fantasy world. We are 5th and you acting like the world is endingSo expecting to get more points than a team in 17th over 22 games is now an unrealistic standard from a fantasy world.
Yeah so you are for a shock many times a day in your life. We are not shocking, because if we were, we would be down the table next to United. We would not be in fa cup semi final. We would not win 4-0 over Tottenham. Shocking is Leicester. We are below our league standard for over 2 decades, but it could happen after so massive success.I'm sorry that we are so far away in what we see. I see shocking play. No inventiveness from an individual and no coordinated attack with 2 or 3 players who are in sync and at the top of their game.
Even under Pearce we had signs of hope.
This problem up front was there before any injury crisis. It was even there to some degree while we were winning things.
Once we get past the half way line we are devoid of adventure.
I wouldn't mind that so much if it was because we were knitting a new team together. But in that case we'd be playing all of Gonzalez, Khusonov, Reiss, Echeverri, Bobb, McAtee, Savinho, Doku, etc.
Let them fail. Or let them learn.
Instead we are plodding along neither here or there.
Solid season other than that!
Well said mate. Were 5th. It's decent enough after the players have run themselves into the ground to achieve 4 titles in a row.
An achievement no other side has done.
How quickly many are to forget and turn on the players and manager.
Arsenal played that Utd set-up recently in the FA Cup and league and couldn't beat them. Liverpool also failed. We should’ve buried them yesterday. A combination of Pep’s team selection and players lack of legs and sharpness brought us down to their level. The worst Derby I’ve witnessed live in terms of quality and passion. Waste of a pleasant afternoon.
