Yours, probably.

Let’s reconvene when we’re champions again in the next year or two.

I apologise but I am not sorry:

MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD.
:-) :-)

My other apology and I am sorry about is to @jimharri as I know he will be hovering over the ban switch for that capital letters bit!! :-)
I thought you had a special exemption on that score Blue?

Possibly, I think last year was a great achievement considering what we had won before and the first signs of players coming towards the end. 4 in a row is historic and maybe having 2/3 years off it is then the price. Whilst I am not happy with our crap recruitment and preparation for a rebuild, I would take 4 in a row over it.
Yeah. Thats a trade off we might well have to settle for.

agree on Marmoush looking encouraging....but not sure how he fits in...if he is clever enough he can adapt his game

foden hopefully will recover...he just needs time away from football I think - players have off seasons all the time..

Agree sav is better on the left...but that means we have no one for the right hand side and Sav will need to be more adaptable, work on his finishing and also work on his defensive responsibilities....
Marmoush needs to put himself about a bit, and get into the game more though, like he did on his debut ..... the only thing I can remember him for yesterday was volleying that shot that forced Onana into a bit of rare action .... other than that, unless I've forgotten something, there was very little from him that troubled the rags.

Unless we can get Wirtz to play number 10 I'd be on the market for a right winger. Not sure who though.

And yes, Sav has a lot of learning/ development to do but he is still only 20. I still think he'd have been on loan at girona this season if the rules weren't changed

Now I am not one of those who have been looking to replace Pep but how bad are you expecting it to be?

When Hughes was sacked after 18 games we had 29 points. Over the last 22 games Pep has won 29 points.

What sort of drop off are you expecting?
Look what happened when the pisscan left United. Now I very much doubt we would that badly managed as a club, but who knows. My faith in Pep makes me believe he will get it right. Not sure that will happen if he leaves. As we all know, it could be a lot worse.

I get why everyone is a little down after yesterday, it was awful. But, happy clapper that I am, I firmly believe there is nobody better than Pep to turn it around.
Pep looks a bit devoid of ideas at the moment, and seems to spend most of the game scratching or rubbing his head ..... we've got to hope he can turn things around, but poor buys over the last few seasons haven't helped his cause .... to stay on top you need to bring in top quality players!

And preferably players who are delivering a good degree of consistency for their clubs too!

Agreed. It's similar to his first season here when he didn't have the players to play his system. The ones we brought in to do so are now too old to perform it or are injured. There isn't a lot he can do except to grind out this season, hope for the best and hopefully get better players in the summer than we've recruited in the last couple of years. There are no guarantees we get the glory years back but football usually goes in cycles and we've had ten good years.

It's not even expecting the highest level of football. We are 5th because we had a good 6 weeks to start the season. The last 5 months have been abysmal.

If I had gone to you after we beat Southampton at home in October and said that for the next 5 months we would pick up less points than Wolves I'm sure you would have claimed I was in a fantasy world then too.
We were hanging on for the 1-0 that day as well

I don’t think you can overstate how much we have missed Rodri. I know we shouldn’t dip as far as we have without him, I also know the cover we have brought in needs to be better. But you simply can’t replace him. Any team would have a dip without their most influential player. I do think Pep is as frustrated as we are.

Good job an acl isn't a two year injury then...........

Any other decent manager would play to his strengths i.e. play a system that works with the players he has at his disposal...

You could argue that Pep (by not doing this) is the architect of his own (and our) downfall....

Jack had a good game against Leicester in the middle of midfield and scored.

Pep once again drops him for the next game.

Jack needs to leave. Newcastle would be a great fit for him.

With the drinking culture in Geordie Land and them celebrating a Carabao Cup win like the real treble …. Jack’ll end up following Gazza to the offy [emoji23]
