lets see:

our language, that has spread across the globe (germanic/french)
Our castles and arcitecture (germanic/norse/french)
our parliamentary system (germanic)
our justice system. (germanic and french)
state religion (all the way from italy)

the bedrocks of society all brought over by those Germams and French immigrants a thousand or so years ago.

yeah I would say different culture not only enriched us but made us what we are today.

Plus may I add for American to question cultural enricment when you are made up of 100s of different cultures mixed together is wierd, their is no such thing as an american, american (well bar the native ones) which is why you put either a country or continent to decribe people, african american, asian american, irish american etc, so has america been enriched by it's multicutural, make up?

well his grand parents were german on his dads side and scottish on his mothers so he isn't even 3rd generation american.

My wife is from China.
We have been married for almost 21 years now.
Chinese society is very ordered and safe to live in. As a result a lot of concerns that I have in the U.K. (about personal safety in particular) are non existent there, leading to far greater peace of mind.
I have stayed with family members on their farms and also in towns and big cities.
The people have been curious about me, about my life and so on, always welcoming and helpful (sometimes overly so tbf.)

I have been advised not to criticise the Chinese government and also to comply with their very stringent rules and laws.
If that is what it takes to ensure a safe environment for all, then that is what I do and always will do.
I would not dream of trying to subvert their system, because it works.

Now then, the vast majority of people in the UK are good, hardworking and caring.
However, there is an element whose sole purpose of their existence appears to be to annoy and irritate others. Even worse, there is an element who actively seek to do us harm, or don't care who gets damaged or killed in their quest for a 'high'.

So multiculturalism.
If people come from other countries and want to live and work here then good luck to them and welcome.
I would say that as long as they adhere to the laws of the land, fair do's.

That is my idea of multiculturalism.

Hi I live in Northenden and our main street is just like any other in the country, and personally I couldn't give a fuck who runs the shops, I buy from the ones I think have the best produce. We have churches & mosques, and I couldn't give a fuck what goes on in there, that's their business and I see to mine in the pubs next door to them.

The only problem that pisses me off is on the Saturdays the amount of people driving in and out of Northenden to worship at the Jehovah's Witness church make it nigh on impossible to get out via the parkway which is usually the quickest way to the ground on matchdays. It also fills our streets up with obnoxious 'mericans who sneer and look down on the "unenlightened"

I don't live in England, but I love the influx of different cuisine and cultures we are enjoying in Northern Ireland

You've actually answered your own question. I suspect, and obviously I can't prove it, that a significant percentage of the swing vote swung not because of policies but because of prejudice reinforced by those policies. Had Harris been a straight white male then I don't think we'd be looking at the orange shitgibbon gurning out of our tv screens day in day out
