Not sure on the difference between beams and cablesVery interesting that it’s steel bars and not cables for this roofs support, was thinking would cables suffice but obviously not. Don’t know about others on here but when you see the roof beams in the lay down area they look super long till you see them in situ and they look a lot smaller. Suppose perspective does that.
Probably the stress levels are greater for this new food as opposed to the existing one. Just a guess. Not sure on the difference between beams and cables

Think I might of got away with that. :-)Roof
It’s not that difficult, mine is just under 1kg so isn’t that small to see(ssskies has the same drone), an unwritten rule is that if it is less than 500m away then it’s considered to be in sightYou know when you see that , it’s in the main the place that both Drone pilots ( excluding that idiot Mr drone) use and bearing in mind the size of the modern drones , you ( or I ) wonder how they keep them in sight?? :-)
Ah makes sense that and I guess it will have more people walking on it too with the roof walkRoof

lots of progress today
MCC today gave planning consent for the construction of what will be the tallest tower in Manchester close to Beetham Tower. It includes a hotel. I don't think it's known when construction will start. It will be the 3rd tallest building in the UK.

Or make as much noise as Beetham Tower sometimes does when its windy. It's going to be almost 1.5 the height of Beetham Tower.Let's hope the glass doesn't fall out like the Beetham.
They're already calling Manchester the Windy City.Or make as much noise as Beetham Tower sometimes does when its windy. It's going to be almost 1.5 the height of Beetham Tower.
The athletics stadium pitch next door isn’t much better
