The players you’ve mentioned have also been inconsistent at times though. There aren’t many ready made world class youngsters.Not really. There are exceptions. Bellingham, Yamal, Musiala, Wirtz etc. All show consistency far beyond their tender ages.
Now we’ve heard this sort of praise before and is not go for a player. Pep loves football so much and knows how respected his opinion is so when he means something he says it. I hope we go for Wharton, he’s exactly what we need

For me O’Reilly is a proper box to box and Wharton is a deep lying midfielder. If we were to replace both Gundo and Kov with O’Reilly and Wharton in the summer it would be a good balance. Ability is the question it’s a lot to ask from young players especially with Bernie also probably going. That’s where MGW might come in with the legs to run midfield. Again questions of ability and whether he and all 3 of them named could carry City week in week out.Glad we can put this one to bed. O'Reilly would be better than him in that position.
