I hate the idea of playing it. The season is long enough, and with the world cup the next summer there doesnt seem to be any real break. We had the Euros last summer, where we contributed more players than any other club, and players came back exhausted and prone to injury. The season before it was the European super cup and world club during the season. It's insane.

Very possibly. I have a theory that the outcome will be so catastrophic and cataclysmic for the PL that they daren't release the official verdict during the season.

do the PL have a say in when this breaks? Does the IC release it or both sides have to agree etc?

I'm not sure but I think both sides have to agree on the timing.

I'm sure I read somewhere, it seems like a lifetime ago, that one side can only delay it I think 30 days. Until that point they have to agree timing, and after that point one side can release it unilaterally.

Does that mean that the PL would have the decision but not the club? Or that City are embargoed on releasing the decision?
