UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

40 of which are from the same poster.

Culture wars work. They can make even the most (self proposed) intelligent posters delve to the levels of social media trolling.

Yep, the anti trans movement ramped up when Trump got in power the first time, chuck in social media, Musks Twitter and it’s amazing how many have got themselves all worked up over this.

I applaud the verdict in terms of protecting womens’ rights, but lament the lack of empathy that trans people have and question what they do now.

There’s a certain irony that the people celebrating the victory, that won’t actually change very much, being as binary as binary can be.

Have you even seen the online vitriol aimed at JK Rowling? That's not anti trans doing that, it's nutters from a place of being "denied" something they want the majority of the rest of the populace to adhere to. Or else. All because she states scientific fact.
A woman who has donated 160 million pounds to charity.

Now, you might not agree with her adhering to facts and defending women, but let's not pretend here that any attacks are from just one side getting "worked up.'

Unfortunately you can't please everyone. 96,000 trans people vs 65 million non trans people. Sometimes you have to just choose what's best for the majority.

I get that, hence why I applauded the decision.

It leaves the minority in limbo though and that’s not something that sits comfortably.

The truth is that it’s a vast minority of said group are wrong’uns, heightened by culture wars that are leaving the majority of them without support, nor a future pathway.

I hope that is sorted out quickly for them.

We've seen quite a perverse infringement of Women's rights, which has now hopefully been rectified through the courts.

To say that anyone who believes that Women should have safe spaces, be it in changing rooms, in meetings for victims of sexual or physical abuse etc...or be able to compete in sports on a level playing field, is anti trans and has been influenced by the likes of trump and musk is disingenuous as fuck.

Some things are right and some things are wrong, I just find it mind boggling that this situation was allowed to develop because of political cowardice on all sides and had to be sorted through the courts.

It's going to change a lot, this ruling has no meaning unless it results in a rewriting of policy in every public and private enterprise that's been captured by Stonewall and the grifters that profit by their lies.

NHS first, followed by the Ministry of Education, if you think this ends now you don't know shit about angry and determined women and you definitely don't know shit about angry and determined Scottish women.

This has been a long uphill struggle in the face of many setbacks and appalling vitriolic attacks, full of spite and threats of violence, so don't be too surprised if the women who won on Wednesday don't give a shite about f**king empathy, they've been shown bugger all themselves.

We shall see what impact it ultimately has.

Radicalised people will always feel the impact of verdicts more than non radicalised people.

I asked my wife about what she thought and she didn’t really have any strong viewpoint and believe me, when she has views on anti-feminist things, she’s vocal.

As I suggested earlier, culture wars work because they drag everyone in at some point. This topic is what has drawn you in.

Trans people will still continue to use the toilets they want to.

Women though, will still have their safe spaces.

Quite the juxtaposition.

No it hasn't

We shall see.

They will now.

Too many assumptions are made as to why people are so divided on this issue, purely from a strategic viewpoint Stonewall overplayed their hand. Trans folk are in a worse situation now because of what Stonewall and Mermaids have done, in fact the whole gay community has suffered by association, for the first time since the aids panic of the 80s poll after poll has shown public support for the gay community has dipped.

My gay friends know what transing the gay away means, did you know they're particularly keen on it in Iran....

The gay people pushed to change their gender...

There's a lot more to this than GB News, JK Rowling and white van man.

I agree there is more fall out from this verdict.

Whether your confidence that it will do what you think it will is still up for debate.

Vigilantes will try and enforce stopping trans people using the “correct” toilet. How do you think that will pan out?

My main question to you would be to ask why it’s such a big issue for you.
