Hopefully the ref has got the two captains in his dressing room and gets them to do best 2 out of 3 'rock, paper, scissors' and saves everyone from another 45mins of that dross.

Well if we don't shoot then we won't be winning today. Can see this being ripe for a bit of Doku magic on the left but who is going to put it in the back of the net I'm not sure.

Pretty level otherwise. They hit the post and Gonzales took it off O'Reilly's head a yard from goal. They're very organised so I'm not too downbeat at all, just need a spark to get that goal.

Good to see the return of us controlling large parts of the game too, a welcome return.

Shoutout to the ref for not even giving a minute added time
Mate, he's saving every fooking City dispare.

Hopefully he'll blow the whistle 10 minutes into the second half and save us all from this dross.

I joke, just wish we'd change our tactics occassionally and turn up the heat.

I sort of agree with the general feeling in here, we need to drive forward instead of controlling the game. Someone needs to be told to carry it forward, be braver, take some risk when we are up front.

Not the best half.

Thought we'd play the same way as last week with Savinho replacing McAtee and Bernardo replacing Kovacic but that hasn't been the way we've played. Bernardo has been wide right and Savinho wide left with both FBs inverting (often at the same time). As a results we've struggled at times to play out from the back and move the ball effectively.

I'd be tempted to bring Kovacic and McAtee on, stope inverting the FBs and go back to what worked so well last week.

so much is going wrong on the pitch right now when city play that i am still unsure how people are so confident we're remedying this in the summer

If pep is aiming to draw the always and win the homes..

That puts us on 67pts….I honestly don’t think that will be enough to secure 5th…we’d need a couple of forest, chavs, castle to have a few bad results…
It's not like we have that hard of a run in either. With what's at stake, makes no sense to be playing for draws when we just aren't solid enough in the middle or at the back.

Ah well, we're not losing anyway. need more pace upfront in the 2nd half, build up has been too slow and predictable so far. Marmoush needs to have better ball control and retention 2nd half. Far from our worst performance this season and Everton away is always a tricky venue.

Just abandon the game at half time and let us take a point ;)

Bernardo and Gundogan are not contributing to the City attacking efforts.

We need to activate the midfield line. We are not creating enough chances

Only Nunes, O'Reilly and Kev, even looking to do anything progressive with the ball.

Ortega distribution has been shocking.

Savinho and Marmoush can't even make the ball stick.

Gonzales is defo gonna need time to toughen up and be quicker in possession.

As for Gundo, what's the point of having him sit so high when we have him and Marmoush in the same spaces and nobody able to even get the ball up to them unless Kev forces it.

Bernie has had two overlap situations with Kev and failed to get by his man.

All pretty ineffectual, same as the recent derby.

It's a game for Doku and Foden if we want to quicken up the pace of the game and commit defenders.

Doku for Bernie.
Foden for Gundo.
Jack for Savinho.
