Beat villa and we are all but guaranteed top 5 imo

Draw would be an okay result providing spurs and Fulham do us a favour.

Lose and we might well need to win all 4 remaining games depending on other results

With the games we’ve got left, a draw on Tuesday wouldn’t be a disaster.

The opposing team has been exploiting our left side with that ball down our left side if we don't Harass press the opponents like we did once we went 2 down at home to palace

88.32% chance of CL now and finishing third is latest prediction. Lose to Villa and that will drop like a stone.

Yeah - it's still pretty close, and I wonder if there's a bit of a bias from the last few seasons in the stats (certainly the in game "win probabilities" have had us heqavy favourites in just about every game we've played, even when the previous results were poor).

'Course, in my head, we've still got a chance of second... ;)

I'm actually enjoying this run in almost as much as the last four seasons.
I’m not . It’s been a terrible season and even yesterday the football was sure apart from a few shining lights . A champions league spot and fa cup will make me feel better though .

Not a fan of calendar year tables but I liked this form table for the PL since 1st Jan 25 :)

3rd in the table, 1 point behind Villa and 4 points behind Liverpool.
Ahead of Arsenal and Newcastle on goal difference.

In fact boring, boring City have the best goal difference in the table AND scored the most goals! Email going into Radio5 Monday Night Club about that...

Even when we are shit we are quite good. And that's why I remain confident we'll get one of the spots.

Yeah the Opta algorithm can’t know about injuries or a lucky win even though the performance wasn’t good. There was a ranking run by 538 that used expected goals that was good but they were bought out by Disney or someone and it stopped.

I think we could well finish third and, if I had to bet, that’s where I would put my money. That said I’d we 7th I wouldn’t be shocked.

I wouldn’t swap our run in with any of our rivals. Don’t lose to Villa and we will be fine. I think that will be a draw.

One defeat in the last 9 games in all competitions now (the game at Forest). We seem to have found some consistency at the right time of the season. At least re results. The performances are still very up and down (that non event at the swamp, followed by the last 60 minutes against Palace). But results are the only thing that matters in the run in.

Much as it pains me to steal from the PL website - not seen this posted, so here's the run ins

That run after Ipswich for Newcastle looks interesting - as does Chelsea after today.
We might squeek in based on points the others drop against each other ;)

So we have 2 hard games, Villa have 2, Chelsea have 4, forest have 3, Newcastle have 2. Simplifies how to look at even if an over simplification. Might mean table stays as is or Villa catch forest depending on the now huge game on Tuesday.

Last minute winner for chelsea is a bit of a shitter

If we win on Tuesday, there's a chance we could have top 5 wrapped up before last game of the season which would be ideal to give the players an extra bit of rest with the club world cup this summer.
