I think it’s more that we’re gonna extend Gundo and Bernardo is gonna stay and Pep will no doubt want them to stay over Kevin. That’s leaves a slightly sour taste in my mouth but Bernardo is only 30 and Gundo has the contract. It’s a tough one

Gundo is a contract thing, bernie could be going benfica next year or 2027 something that has been planned for some years

There is a vidoe of him saying he wasn't offered a renewal

No speculation about it, he thinks he can still do a job, the club are not offering that, unless we suddenly make a U-turn he is gone in a few weeks.
He sounds a little bit pissed off to me think he’ll stay in the prem to try and prove a point

Thanks for the memories legend.

But probably for the best of the club. We need to be looking to the future.

Kevin has always had a degree of petulance to him.

A couple of months ago, everyone was moaning that Pep was 'too loyal' and playing Kevin instead od mcAtee. Or that he wanted his 'one last dance' and was keeping players like kevin, instead of signing for the future of the club.

Now, Kevin has a little petty moan, after one and a quarter decent games for a change, and everyone is up in arms that he had been treated unfairly and the club is ruthless and clueless how to treat people, or happy to ruin their legacy.

Has anyone thought that Kevin himself is pooing on his legacy a bit with these comments. It is unprofessional and ungrateful of him to air his laundry like that in public, particularly at this stage kn the season.

It is a good thing imo. Shows both the Club and Pep are serious, about next season and the ones after that. They are right as well, I think Kevin is done. Certainly done with us at our level and demand. He is a legend and should get a proper send-off and the gratitude, but he also should behave like one and leave like Vincent Silva Zabba and others did.

Exactly !! What I don’t get is that he gave a big farewell PR release last week. Nowt more needs to be said on the matter.

Yet there he was in the Goodison mixed zone at the next game turning up the gas a little - naming individuals and a bit a vagueness to add a little bit of mystery.

No doubt he will be the mixed zones spilling his guts at every game until the end of the season.

Fully expect it will turn into a Yaya situation by the end of the season

Best ever for me but definitely time to refresh. City bigger than KDB, and just as we lost prime Yaya, silva, Sergio etc we will look back with fondness, but come to adore the replacements who take over legacy.

Let’s roar his name at the etihad to get energy into his slowing limbs and get him to leave on a high.

Fool if he does, he will damage his legacy here and in the PL, he is finished at the higher level.

He needs to get over to the MLS or Saudi and fill his boots.
I hope he does go to mls but he’s stubborn and proud and will definitely want to shut doubters up. He wants to stay at the highest level for a World Cup 26 place. If he gets an offer from a prem club he’s staying in this country 100%

We did the same with Sergio.

I feel the same as I did then, gutted but see why.

In both cases think they could have agreed for the players to take a pay cut and be a squad player but that’s just not how we operate.

Got to be ruthless to be the best. And I think he understands and appreciates that.

What is the highest level? What, is every PL club now the highest level?

If he goes to Palace, or Bournemouth (assuming they could afford him which they can't) would people still think he is proving he can cut it at the highest level? Would they fuck, their demands and standards are completely different to ours.

The highest level is Champions League clubs, and clubs challenging for the title in their leagues.

And let's face it, he can't cut it at those. Real Madrid possibly the only one that can afford him both in wages and in the squad.

People are being too reactive to his comments.

I hope the statue has a 30 day return option if that's the case.

This

Gundogan should be leaving and many others with injury problems before KDB

we are held to their contracts if they were up this summer they would not be renewed, same for grealish, stones ,akie

KDB should be getting another year.

The club has made some strange decisions recently, they wouldn't give Gundo 2 years because he was too old yet they brought him back a year later then gave him 2 years when he's not even half the player he was when he was leaving.

Madness!

Gundo wanted to leave. He said so quite openly.
