We are missing that really. We do still commit tactical fouls but we haven’t got a real wind up merchant playing for us. I loved Ferna for just hitting everyone.

If the main reason we’re interested is the need for homegrown players, why not test the waters for Palmer? Surely he’s not sticking around for another year outside the CL?

Not sure what they’re like for PSR; the hotel/women’s team sales are a bit murky so no idea what’s going on there, and they’ve definitely got players they can sell, but their amortisation must still be pretty crazy after spending £1.2 billion.

If we’re serious about replacing Kev, it’s got to be Wirtz or Palmer. Gibbs-White does nothing for us.

Not Palmer, Im not sure the Palmer that has no goals for about 3 months is the real Palmer ,but neither is the Palmer of last season. Probably somewhere in between a decent PL player not a great one. Don’t think he’s much better than when we let him go. MGW isn’t replacing KDB.

People just can’t comprehend this. Partly because one of the reports said he was the replacement and they’ve all latched onto it. But we are dealing with some idiots on here!

That’d leave us with Wirtz, MGW, Foden, Rodri, Marmoush, Nico x2, Gundogan, Kovacic as midfield options, and that’s assuming McAtee & Silva leaves, Echeverri doesn’t play, and not classing Nunes or Rico as midfielders.

If they get top 4, they’ll want Grealish money, and I think he’ll be an even worse fit. Their playing style is the exact opposite of ours.

I don’t think we will get Wirtz mate to be honest, I think it will be Xavi Simons we get with Mcatee going to Germany. I also think Gundo and Kovacic will leave as well

What if it's 70m+ because that's what I reckon it will be! Like Grealish when we paid the 100m you judge the player after his contract near ends and we now can away Grealish had a great 6 months the treble year apart from that he has been poor so he waste of money!

I don't like his attitude/personality, I can't forget or forgive his behaviour to get Rodri sent off! I hope we don't get him, OK as a player but horrible as a character. Surely we should consider his qualities as a whole?
