Yeah the calls for Khusanov at RB are a head scratcher. He has no experience of this position at all other than a very tough night against VJ. Nunes is starting to find his feet and is a pretty good offensive threat. Still prone to sometimes costly mistakes as we saw yesterday, but Khusanov is not going to be perfect either. We have conceded 3 goals in our last 5 games which is a distinct improvement; and at this stage of the season, we need stability at the back.

Very reasonable perspective. But I think Pep can bring him on earlier - maybe 60-65 mins rather than 75 mins. He is useful both when chasing the game but also when ahead as he keeps the ball/holds up pretty well and is strong as an ox in fending off challenges.

I totally agree about his virtues and ability and I really like him...... BUT....

I think he is a fantastic game changing impact sub, would prefer to see him come off the bench when there is a bit of tiredness in the opposition defenders legs. Either way he is an amazing player IMO.

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see the vast majority of the Villa game starting. Gundo, Bernardo, Kev, Kovacic shoe ins to start. Foden for Mcatee the only change I think

Gutted I can't go, a Wembley trip despite all of our troubles this season is something we can't take for granted.

Unfortunately for the blues, somebody needs my support more, getting around 26.2 miles of Manchester tarmac on Sunday.

It's highly likely that City will go into this game with a very similar team and system to that which we have used recently. Pep has been playing with full backs to give us the width instead of wingers and why should that change? Expect the same system but perhaps we might switch some players e.g., use Foden instead of Gundogan.

We could play wingers and we'd create chances but we'd also lose control of the game and we have a low midfield so I think that without Rodri and Haaland we are very likely to start the same system and players as we saw vs Villa.
