I don't think respect would have anything to do with it, think he'd join a top 6 PL club if one were mad enough to offer it. Below that, don't see what would be in it for him, proves nothing re top level.

Agree with all the rest, which is why I think no way he stays in the PL, despite people being desperate to milk it.

It would take Chelsea levels of craziness for something to be even remotely possible.
Like I say, don't think he will entertain another English club in top six.

Leeds or Burnley would be a convenient location for his family to continue living where they are.

All season, all fucking season!

No legs in midfield, too many pensioners, desperately need a refresh, Pep too loyal to old players, club hanging on to players too long, their bodies are fucked, can't hack it any more, average age of 33 in that midfield.. etc etc etc.

Kevin's leaving - oh no, should have offered him a new contract, what are they Thinking! He should get to choose how long he plays etc etc.

FFS Bluemoon!

The exact same people calling for a new contract would me misning anout the club being too soft next season.

In what way would that be a good move for him.
He can go to everton training ground from the place he is staying currently. His family is settled at where he is living now. That's the main reason he didn't want to leave city. He lives in the same apartment as Van dijk lives.
Plus we had history of liverpool/everton and even United players coming to us before our take over. The main reason for that was because they lived and were settled nearby.
Everton is a good team. They can pay his (reduced) wages. He cannot surely go to united or liverpool. Certainly everton is a better club than other available clubs nearby.

Not a chance he goes to a struggling PL team to play Moyes football.

If Kevin doesn't fancy America then he might end up in the same situation De Gea did after leaving United. He's so obviously not what he used to be so big clubs won't want him, but his wage demands are still what they've always been so smaller clubs won't want him. De Gea was unattached for 12 months until he settled on Fiorentina and I wouldn't be surprised if Kevin spends 12 months slowly realising the only way to continue his playing career.

Surely there is 0% chance KDB joins Leeds or Burnley, teams that will likely be in a relegation scrap and losing most weeks?! Not before you consider his wages

Plus, unless he has plans to live in the North West beyond retirement/the next couple of years, he'd have to look at relocating his family in ~24 months anyway?

Go and have an adventure in Miami or New York, Kev!

I do understand Man city position. Time to refresh the squad, provide opportunities for other place, reshuffle the team. In the end I understand KDB's disappontment as well for not being offfered any kind of deal. Finishing CL spot + FA cup would be a nice way of saying goodbye to each other. As a fan, I wish him and his family all the best and if he returns in the Etihad as a player of which PL team whatsoever, never would there be any disapprovement from my side.

you're in cuckoo land if you think de bruyne will join Leeds or Burnley haha

Surprised at the level of club being suggested on here. He has look crap for us in a struggling team, I don't see him fancying a relegation fight somewhere. He defo needs to go America

Has everyone not looked crap for most of this season? No coincidence that he's started to look better since we've found a bit of form as a team.

He's been more or less a passenger for 75%+ of this season, showing (imo) that he needs legs around him to do the hard work.

He's been a luxury player for us over the past year or two, and would be at any 'elite' club. That's why he needs to be moved on, preferably to a much slower pace of football than the PL.

When? He had a great game at Palace but couldn't tell you another game to that level. Everton he was shocking. I watched it so knew for myself he was bad, then drove after the game where he was given a 2/10 on the radio with it being declared he looks like he has forgotten how to play football. Most have looked crap yes, when you are injury prone, getting older and slower with each game then that isn't just having a bit of off form. Time waits for nobody

There is less than zero chance he joins a newly promoted team
