The roof on the corners at the South Stand end look poor, in my opinion. They don't seem to follow the flow of the roofs on the East and South stands.....

Even some grey cladding and then a huge screen in each corner would help.

We HAVE to join up these corners. The external aesthetics are not good imho. I hope we get it done and then have a complete rethink on ticketing. Up the Blues!

Unlike the south stand they have taken the opposite approach here. Not attempting to join the corrners but deliberately and obviously stopping them with a clear distinction between the two.

It may seem severe, but imho it does actually work better. Just my own take.

They were always intended to be temporary until the E & W stands were done.

£300m was the total I think. Don’t know how that’s split between the stand, hotel & shop/offices.

Cheers, yeah seen that before. They are two different things that, or rather two scales/levels of detail. What they would have done (at least based on that as described) will have helped the structure and general build/design. The whistling thing is a larger scale of modelling and testing. Done at the same facility. You can maybe assume if they have done the base level one they may well have done the detailed one as well. Hope so.

Based on what the edge on this one looks right now, I just don't believe that the final design will be a straight copy of this one. They're not stupid people.

I think the new roof will cover the same area as the old roof for the lower tier.
