Premier League Games | 26/27 April & 1 May '25

Derby fans must be gutted.
They're not. They are ecstatic at winning at Hull today. My son who is a Derby fan and me enjoyed that goal going in.The great escape is on.

They are sick of hearing about the unique distinction of the lowest points total but would rather share it with Saints.

Looking at Plymouth giving it a go the last while but Rooney truly fucked them like they were a pensioner
If they had sacked him a week earlier they probably would have survived. I hope they keep this manager.

Yep. If Hull win (at Portsmouth), they'd have to be hopeful that one of Luton, Preston, Derby or Stoke won't win. Which will happen as Derby are playing Stoke. A draw will even be enough for Hull, if Luton lose at West Brom....

That late winner for Derby has totally changed the picture. Eustace has almost pulled off a miracle.

Derby v Stoke....no love lost between the two sets of fans...historic trouble...mind you it is Stoke...could be a bit tense. A draw would suit both but hopefully Derby won't play for one. Up and at 'em.

How could 10 English teams play in Europe next season?

There is a chance that European competitions will feature 10 English clubs next season. Here is one scenario where this could happen:

- Liverpool, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Man City finish in the top five and qualify for the Champions League
- Aston Villa or Brighton finish sixth and qualify for the Europa League
- Bournemouth finish seventh and take the Conference League place passed down by EFL Cup winners Newcastle
- Chelsea finish eighth and qualify for the Europa League by winning this season’s Conference League
- Crystal Palace finish 10th and qualify for the Europa League by winning this season’s FA Cup
- Manchester United or Spurs finish 11th and qualify for the Champions League by winning this season’s Europa League

Such an improbable outcome would mean SIX English clubs playing in next year’s Champions League, THREE in the Europa League, and ONE in the Conference League.

The Premier League plight of Man Utd and Spurs – who sit 14th and 15th respectively following their 32nd fixtures – means winning the Europa League is now their most likely means of retaining European football next year. They are, accordingly, two of the favourites to lift that trophy.

6 wins on the trot for Wolves is quite impressive (and 2 draws) since losing to Fulham at home at the end of Feb.
Not one wolves fan thought we would survive back in December when we lost to Ipswich at home our players fighting with staff. 19th in the league and 5 points from Leicester who were in 17th
Remarkable turnaround since then

I was delighted we sacked that idiot O'Neil but felt we had left it too late as we were 5 points adrift with a tough January on the horizon but Don Vitor has been brilliant. To think just 3 weeks ago the Ipswich game was a 6 pointer, we're now 20 points clear and sat in 13th. 6 Premier League wins on the bounce for us is phenomenal.

I watched O'Neil's final interview again this morning where he's whingeing about the squad not having the desired quality then Wolves fan Jacqui Oatley points out that we have 3 Brazilian internationals and countless other internationals compared to Ipswich who had just beaten us with a League 1 squad and a defender from Accrington Stanley! Absolute prick

Bit harsh, innit? I don't think Ms Oatley is a prick. Wrong chromosomes for a start.
