Vardy leaving Leicester after 13 years

Quite a career he's had, from getting into trouble with the law and having to wear an electric tag, to winning the Premier League.

Always good to see a player come through the lower leagues and rise to the challenge at the highest level.

Arsenal should have bought him when looking for a striker.

All the reports at the time, after they’d won the league, were that Arsenal made a bid that Leicester were happy to accept and Vardy didn’t want to go.

Always thought if true, it was a strange decision. That Leicester team was always going to be stripped of its main players after winning the league and I’m sure he would have been on for a generous pay rise. And it his age, it was clearly then or never, as far as joining a big club goes.

The same point still stands. Lineker is unlikeable - plenty of people saying he’s a slime ball. Went on strike from his £1,350,000 per annum job with no care in the world. He’s cut from the same cloth as his sleazy brother!

Absolutely nothing to do with his opinion on the conflict in Gaza.
I don’t think they’re alike. Speaking from firsthand experience of being in the same venue as his brother.

Great striker. Not the best all rounder at all, but he worked with what he had. Liked to play on the shoulder and time them runs. Worked hard too. A real menace.

It really helped with he had the likes of Mahrez and Kante in his team. Once they went, his goals steadily declined.

Saying he wants to stay in the Prem.

If the rags sign him, as good as he once was, I will piss my pants with complete laughter.

Like when we signed Weah, that’s what that would be.

This is a very good summary, his worth ethic and what he did as a lone striker took some doing - amazing how many years he could do that for.

Word is that there's several MLS teams interested in him. But so is Wrexham and Sheffield Wednesday. Wonder where he goes?
