Seat Counters - 2024/25

I wouldn’t have a huge problem with what you suggest here, as it still rewards cup scheme membership. But, the underlying problem in trying to factor in semi final attendance is the big drop in tickets that we get for the final. It drops from 36,000 for the semi to 25,000 for the final. So there can never be a guarantee of a final ticket by reference to semi final attendance.
Very true. Although, I didn't say that buying a semi final ticket should guarantee you a final ticket, It should just put you ahead of someone who hasn't been to any FA Cup game in the queue

Problem is you get more points for platinum over gold ST

I buy 2 adults and 2 kids ST and I have ST since 1985

My brother buys 1 adult platinum ST and only been ST since 1987 but has more points

Is he more loyal

Understand both sides of the argument but feel as though our club don’t get it

I wasn't even aware that platinum was still a thing. Waste of money as we only get a maximum of 3,000 tickets a game so you'd have to have mega points to get one. The domestic cup finals any season ticket holder over 10,000 points should get one. European finals are iffy.

It’s a scheme to buy loyalty but misses the point that all Season Ticket holders are loyal

To me though a blue is a blue regardless if ST or member

Fair enough I see your point.

I do disagree with you on this, however I don't think you're a melt :)

No problem I understand the frustration of some fans who feel frozen out due to not being able to get a season ticket and as a consequence will sometimes miss out on cup finals. The downside to your plan is very clear. Yes if it was implemented more season ticket holders would probably attend a semi final and we'd sell out. That would mean they were then guaranteed a ticket for the final, but that would probably negate any chance of somebody not a season ticket holder of getting one anyway. Also, as more season ticket holders had been coerced to attend the game for fear of losing out on a final ticket, that would mean all those who got to take up the slack yesterday and have a great day out at Wembley would have also.missed out on that game. Lose/ lose.

That's okay you can call me a melt I've been called worse.

Here's a solution, a little off the wall but hey .....
All those that went yesterday get first dibs at next years semi final or, if we win in 3 weeks time, next years Charity Shield.

After all, you love going to an over priced shithole at a stupid time so it's only fair you get first chance.

The slagging of City fans, by City fans is disgraceful. The Daily Mail or Telegraph I can understand but some of the posts on here are beyond belief.

The club should let Cityzens members join cup schemes.

If they commit to every home cup game, they should be rewarded with a

Whatever way you look at it, and for whatever reason, it was a shit turnout.
However, rather than debating why, we start putting ideas into place on how to blow the fucking roof off in the final. Those fucktard palace Ultras think they’re going to bang a shitty drum for 90 minutes.
We need to be as blue and as vocal on cup final day as any team that has ever played at that fucking stadium. Whoever organised that blue fucking ticker tape a few years ago needs to get busy

Matchday Members continually get shafted more than any other group of fans . It's easy to think of matchday members as tourists, but there's plenty of loyal match going blues, who'd love a season ticket, but have to settle with the matchday membership.

That's pretty much the core of my point. I'm not saying someone who bought a matchday membership today should automatically get the same priorities as a ST Holder. I'm suggesting that a matchday member who has attended FA Cup games, which includes making the trip to Wembley for the semi final, should get priority over an ST holder who hasn't been to any FA Cup games.

Anyway, I accept your arguments, you raise some good points.

I agree with the sentiment. The club needs to release more season tickets is the answer. Until they do the same issues will occur in my opinion. Up to the club to secure our support for the future and ensure we sell out all of our games.

Shit turnout but we outsung Forest, they obvs had a lot of one game a season boys there.

We will bring our A game for the final.

Agree on this, it’s a seat counting thread and has just become a lets slag anyone off for not going to the semi thread. I said about 100 pages ago I didn’t go, but I’ll be going the final. My choice for many reasons and couldn’t give a shit whether people like it or not.

It wasn’t a shit turn out. We didn’t sell out. Two very different things

Great to see our elite seat counters now have a Wembley Final to get their teeth in to. The daily updates until sell out are always a time for the proper experts to come to the fore - the absolute mayhem once we are down to restricted view tickets is essential viewing

Do they have restricted view at Wembley?

What was clearly evident yesterday, was how late the City fans arrived.
I used Wealdstone FC to park, already booked on for the final.
We took the overground from Ruislip about 2pm and got in the stadium around 3pm.
Walking up Wembley Way was 90% Forest at 2-30.
When inside, another striking thing was the number of strangers to the game.
Americans, Chinese, people of colour, other Asians, polish, lots with Non Mancunian accents.
I didn’t see the regulars I often see.
Clearly many regulars didn’t bother, with the slack taken up by new fans.
The South Yorkshire supporters club was sat around us.
I saw two whole families of 6 with young kids under 5 years, just do many faces I’ve never seen before and, you do normally see lots of fans you know and recognise.
Come the final, tickets will fly off the shelf, The club will only have two weeks to shift them, they need to get the criteria right.
Loads of Blues were in the Green Man so it is just a stroll down the hill to the stadium.

There’s going to be a big City singing section on level one which will match and hopefully better and batter the Palace Ultras.

What’s encouraging is the directors and the club are now pro for and supporting the City singing section at Wembley .

The directors noted how the singing section made a big difference to the City support against Forest.

I’m sorry my friend ,and u are not going to like this , but the way I look at it ,is that under the circumstances it was a quite remarkable turnout and not in the slightest embarrassing?,but like I said that’s my view on it ,u are very welcome to yours .

Loads of Blues were in the Green Man so it is just a stroll down the hill to the stadium.
And that is why it was 90 % forest on Wembley way ? Not just because they had a third more in attendance, the fact that we have been there so many times, why would any blue ,unless they was taking maybe a youngster for the first time ?want to be strolling down Wembley way 2-3, hours before kick off?
That coupled with the fact that we had the west end and all our allocated pubs are over that side and not at Wembley Park plus people just know what they are doing as we been so many times !

It why we are not in the fountains in Trafalgar square the night before like the Geordies ?

And is the exact same situation that happened. At the league cup final when Wembley way was wall to wall black and white stripes but inside Wembley 40000 rats seem to appeared like magic !
Like us they been that often b4 they just get on with it

I’ll say it again

I think it was a great turnout
