Snooker World Championship 2025

Fantastic final session from Trump. Coming out after just a short break between sessions and knocking in 2 centuries and keeping Brecel off the table. The reason why he's ranked no.1 in the world.

I feel like Trump for all his ability under achieved a bit early on in his career. These past few years his ranking wins puts him third of all time.

Id like to see him lift this one and a few more in his career.

Soundly beaten by Xintong? Very unlikely but anything couple happen i suppose.

Xintong is very good. Capable of beating anyone.

He'd comfortably be ranked in the top 10 if he hadn't been out of the game.

Ronnie probably isn't playing as bad as he talks about, but he hasn't been brilliant either. He's warming into it though, and we know he can produce sessions where he just blows the opponent away.

But unless he plays with consistency, i think he'll struggle to beat Xintong.

Xintong is the player is capable of being the first Chinese world champ at some point.

Agree with this - on the flip side if Ronnie does manage to pull out a good performance and beat Xintong, it could propel him forward for the final.

I think Ronnie could get embarrassed in the final, especially if Trump gets past Williams, so for that reason I’d like to see Xintong get past Ronnie. I don’t want a runaway final where one person dominates and I feel that would be the case if it’s Trump v O’Sullivan, just my opinion mind.

Ronnie has been written off since the first match, now will struggle v Xintong and be embarrassed if he makes the final. Struggle to see how some can write him off so easily. He’s one of if not the greatest for a reason.
O'Sullivan himself in the past couple of days has admitted he's not playing well at all and is struggling to finish games.

It would be no surprise if Xintong beats him as he's playing really well and it wouldn't come a a surprise that if he were to meet Trump in the final Trump would demolish him.

But O'Sullivan being O'Sullivan he could roll back the years and absolutely blitz though the semi and the final however the way he's been talking the last few days it's unlikely

He always says he's playing badly after 99% of his games. If he loses he normally says he's cueing well, if he wins he's only 'struggling through' etc

Don't read anything into what he says.

Absolutely! If Ronny keeps his head on the job he'll win it. And my 15 quid each way at 6s will be looking mighty fine:) People should never write the greatest player of all time off.

He raises his game the bigger the occasion. He's a volatile character but on this stage I would expect him to keep improving and find more rhythm the further he goes. Based on the snooker already in this SF it's going to be a great game. To come back into snooker after so long off and make the semi finals shows how good he is.

Think coming out of that session at 4-4 is a good result for Xintong. Bound to have been nervous with it being his first time for the one table setup at the crucible as well as the added pressure of playing O'Sullivan (even if he's not at his best, he still has that aura about him).
