Regardless of how greedy this makes ITV and the BBC look, this could have been avoided if the FA hadn't insisted on playing the fucking FA Cup final before the end of the season. A showpiece occasion, the biggest day in the English football calendar, relegated once again to accommodate something or other.

Presumably it has to be resolved by Tuesday when Palace start their sales process although in the dim past I think I remember buying tickets for Cup games when we didn't know who we were playing

The FA should tout it round to Sky, TNT and all the rest of the clowns and tell the government to stick their "protected event" bullshit where the sun don't shine, while insisting on a 3pm kik-off.
The FA would get more cash and the majority of fans will get in or be able to buy a one-off package from the broadcaster. - Or watch on a dodgy stream if such a thing exists.
