The transfer window is looking very odd. Marmoush has some promise but still hit and miss, the two CB’s not been seen for weeks and Gonzalez gets a minute here and there. The fact he brings Lewis and McAtee on before him is a concern. I don’t think Pep has been overly impressed with him so far judging by his game time.

But hardly made a contribution to be fair. Marmoush aside. The others not been given much game time. The fact that Nico G was the last off the bench said a lot.

Pep found a tactic that has worked - amidst a lot that haven’t - and has stuck with it. And it’s paid off.

I’m sure next season we’ll see Marmoush unleashed. He’ll bounce off Haaland well.

The best part about his game is that he's always a goal threat.

Even when he's not at his best he looks like he could make something happen. None of our other attacking players (bar Haaland) have that spark in the final third.

I do get it if some people are not sure about him, but I’d urge you to understand that we are really not utilising him in a way that suits him, out of pure necessity at the moment. Marmoush is made to play off of another striker, centrally. But due to Haaland’s fitness and due to our midfield being shit, Pep has had to settle on something different to get us through this season. But get Haaland and Rodri back on the pitch, get new blood in the summer… then we should be in a position where we can build a way of playing that actually has Marmoush where he should be on the pitch. I guess what I’m saying is don’t form your entire opinion of him just yet. Be patient.

He has been good to very good every game.

he isn't a right winger as used last night and has hardly been played centraly, but when he has he has produced.

Always making runs and wanting the ball cannot fault him atm.

He joined halfway through a season and we are an ageing team that's struggling by recent standards.

Those runs he makes only for one of our old guys to do a pirouette in midfield ignore him and and then go sideways. Haaland has almost given up making them. Unless the style changes next year, so will he.
