It’s a Cup final, the FA Cup final.
So many fans hacked off with this that and the other.
It’s a trip to London, 190 miles, on a Saturday, not the other side if the World FFS.
My Grandfather and his 3 sons hitch hiked around the country watching City in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
Give your fuckin heads a wobble, stop bleating, get your arse in gear, my God we’ve become a bunch of pansies!!!!!

Times they are a changing.
Slept in an Old Bedford van in London cooked soup on a gas ring for one final, loved it and hitchhiked to another final.
At 66, I'm just working a bit more for two weeks to get to this one, always think this may be my last so can't miss it.

I've just seen that the cup final is kicking off at 4.30. Apparently the BBC wanted 3pm but ITV wanted 5.30pm to maximise on advertising revenue.
Wouldnt it be a good idea if fans got together to organise a boycott of ITV and encouraged everyone regardless of who you follow to watch on BBC. If advertisers realised that nobody was watching their product being showcased they would pull out or want a reduced fee and you would find ITV scurrying back looking for a 3pm kick off. This would be for all fans and the power of the fan would defeat the tv companies
Bbc didn't want 3pm because it was good for fans. They would want it played at midnight if it maximised their viewing figures.

We will see. I think loads will wants to see Kevin one last time whatever time it kick off. It’s far from horrendous anyway.

"See Kevin one last time"? Has Pep told you he won't play against Bournemouth?

Cheap for parking the car there too
You aren't allowed to drive any part of the way as you have to complain about the stupid train fares from Picc to Euston.

What happens when the FA get a hugely lucrative offer from the USA to show it at their prime time, and set KO at 9pm? Or at 7am in the morning to maximise the Far Eastern TV market?

Football is for fans, and the fans who fill grounds, not the convenience of the TV companies.

For people driving, what time do you think you will set off now you know kick off?
I set off 09.30am from whitefield.
Always use M6-M41-M40 park 15 mins slow walk from stadium. And have a decent break at services. Arrived a hour before 4.30pm kick-off

Always makes me laugh when the press harp on about the last train. Shows how the London-centric press think trains are the main option, as they are in the metropolis.
A train with capacity of what? Say 5-700, but no thought for the other 30,000+ that will probably face roadworks closing the M6 and diverting around the lanes of Staffordshire and Cheshire

Moaning about the tv companies then staying at home to watch it on tv…

Not quite sure what point you think you're making here.

We should buy an overpriced ticket, use overpriced and poorly timetabled mass transit and get an overpriced hotel for a game deliberately scheduled against paying fans convenience to stick two fingers up at corporate greed?
