The other mental part is that some people join the supporters clubs, never attend a single meeting whatsoever, and then get a cup final ticket.

It really is utter madness that it’s allowed.

Effectively paying a tenner or whatever it is for fees, to guarantee a cup final ticket, lol.
Then why dont you join ..

Perhaps it’s the price of too much success, fans picking and choosing if to go to a FA Cup final or not.
It's also because visiting Wembley is no longer special.
Sixty years ago the only regular club game at Wembley was the FA Cup final. Then the League Cup final was played there, the Charity Shield was moved there, the hideous game of snap to conclude a bridge tournament play-off finals were held there and then FA Cup semi-finals were added.
I know City fans who have watched us for fifty years and they've been to Wembley more times than all other away games combined. We're never away from the bloody place.

When I first qualified as a referee I attended every single RA meeting. That season Newcastle got to the final and the last meeting of the season they announced that the RA had 2 tickets for the final. Now 1 of the stipulations to apply for a ticket was 75% attendance at RA meetings. However, if no one who had attended the correct number of meetings wanted tickets they would go to an open draw.
Up until this meeting the most people who had attended a meeting was 20. At the last meeting at least 100 showed up all hoping to get lucky.

Never joined an OSc.
Could you briefly explain why a person who doesn't attend meetings or matches obtains a ticket for the Cuo final.
My ignorance would be to presume a person attending the most games would be first in line.
Unless the tickets were drawn in a lottery or the Sec/Chair of the OsC was corruptable.

Would hotels not be a better option for people complaining about kick off time?

That’s what we’re doing driving to Luton, train to London and got a cheap hotel at King’s Cross. The money saved on train paid for hotel. Can relax, stay for beers after the game and not worry about rushing for a train.
I booked train before kick-off time was released because though it be a 3.00 o'clock as there no other games on the 17th May how wrong I was. If I miss the trophy lift I will never do a f.a cup game again and that would be ashamed as I like going to cup games.

Begs the question why does everyone not join the OSC ?
I was in one once, got bored of the meetings and no one I go to games with were memebers so even traveling down with them (a provision with mamy for access to an way ticket) wasn't for me.

basically there was no other supporter in that OSC I associated with outside the 2 hr meetings once a month or wanted to, seemed pointless in the emd as it became just a reason to try and get tickets, which a few others were memebers for.

While I get your point, imagine rival fans reading how you are tired of Wembley. First World problems!

Last train back is 9pm with the whole train being unreserved seating. You’ll be 100% allowed on it, regardless of what train you’ve already booked on.
