It's an absolute embarrassment that the FA Cup final KO isn't set at the start of the season.
But then they'll whinge teams don't take the competition seriously.

Clearly the FA don't take it seriously!
They take the money very seriously. It's the fans they don't care about.

It’s an embarrassment that the Euro vision Song Contest may dictate when the FA cup final starts.

Ha, even Sky are talking about whether we can pass the Arse in the table and even included Newcastle. Now that would be funny.
With the title won early, relegation having been almost a foregone conclusion and almost half the PL already guaranteed some sort of European football next year, Sky are clutching at straws, trying to whip up some jeopardy.
They won't be happy.
I read last year that something like nine of of the 11 or 12 titles that went down to the last day of the season occurred under Sky's watchful eye.
It's a remarkable statistic and one that adds fuel to the fire of conspiracy theorists, like me, who say Sky have undue influence on the narrative of the league season. (Was there even such a thing as a "narrative of the season" before Sky's 24/7 coverage?).
Personally, I don't doubt they have undue influence. Sky Sports playing certain incidents on a loop whilst cheerleading for retrospective red cards being an obvious example. Also, more subtly, there's the glossing over of certain other incidents (usually in favour of certain clubs, I always feel - although I have no emperical evidence to prove that) that doesn't sit right with the aforementioned crusading behaviour.
Seasons like this largely put the kibosh on my conspiracy theory though. As does the fact that City virtually owned the trophy during years when Sky would clearly have preferred others to dominate.
Regardless of whether I am right or wrong to sometimes be overly wary of Sky's influence on proceedings, can I just say, it is a fucking delight to see them scratching about for (that word again) a narrative to put on this season's finale. Hopefully, if and when we get back to challenging, the cunts will be a tad more respectful of the value a competitive City brings to "their" competition.

Not bothered if we finish above them or not.......but if Spuds win the Europa, and Arse win fuck all....that would be hilarious!
A competition 5hat the rest of Europe will vote that the UK entry is the worst. It normally is mind but why pamper to the cunts.

just been confirmed by deloooney liverpool best champions ever by confirming win 5-1 no other team won last game so emphatically
Haa the thick biased midget conveniently forgotten Brighton Away 4-1 City in a must win to pip Dips to the title? Of course he has....or a certain 93.20 moment 13 years ago - definitely that because even amoebas have more intellect than he does.

What I have absolutely realised this season is what a ruddy marvellous achievement was our Treble. We had to play and fight to win the PL and not slip up ( Arsenal did that for us),beat our oldest rivals to the FA Cup and then win the CL final. All under the close scrutiny of a biased print and broadcast media who were willing us to fail. Peps teams delivered every week, he didn't throw cups to concentrate on one (er hello Dips and Arse) and got on with the job without any praise. And now they are making excuses for Arse and all feeling sorry for the clowns because they lost a league game.

Oh it riles me so much. But makes me absolutely, unreservedly appreciate what Pep and his players did season after season. They were true champions and warriors and not a bottler amongst them.

Don't forget in the Domestic Treble season (something never achieved in the history of English football before or since), we were unlucky not to the CL too.

This squad has been incredible

Exactly . Despite the drop in form this season I'm still in wonderland . Thank you Pep and all the players. Unlikely to ever see the like again , us or anyone else .

That treble doesn't get the credit it deserves. It was amazing
Rags treble was it just 5 games against poor teams

And winning the league with 79 (!) points..... And relying on shit German defending.
Don't forget Schmeichel saving a penalty against Bergkamp in the last minute in The FA Cup Semi Final.

They had more fucking Jam than Hartleys that season
