King Kev or Colin The King

never saw colin live, seen kev and he is the in his time here, but Bell is a city institution and legend even unseen

Kevin isn't even in my top 5 favourite players

so Bell for me as in 10 years I will still be wearing a no8 bell retro top on the beach and reading his book.

With respect, and I knew Colin Bell growing up as his son went to my school and he was pals with my dad, Bell was a top class English midfielder who won one league title and the FA cup, as well as the second tier european trophy. He played 48 times for England and played in one world cup. comparatively he was akin to Joe Cole.

De Bruyne is a treble winning Balon Dor nominee who is now regarded as the best midfielder in 30 years of the english top flight at a time when its the number one league in the world, and also has led his international team to world cup semi finals scoring outrageous goal to knock out brazil in the process. Hes won 6 titles, 2 possibly soon to be 3 fa cups, the european cup, and holds the record for assists in a season and has 2 pfa player of the year and 2 runners up.

there is really no comparison. both have been amazing leaders for city, but the teams were at vastly different levels in terms of their world status.

Fair assessment but imagine how good Colin Bell would have been playing on pitches you can play bowls on? And how good would De Bruyne be playing at muddy mosh pits like the old Baseball Ground? I doubt his passing would be anywhere near as good kicking a wet caser ball on a rutted grass bare pitch.

Two similar players from two very different eras. Unfair comparison really.

Let's get real here... City's greatest players will will always be Colin Bell, Peter Doherty, and Billy Meredith.

These modern day multi millionaires playing on carpets wouldn't last two minutes on a proper football pitch with a heavy ball.

KDB comes way behind David Silva imo. A great player, but overrated by the media and pundits. David Silva was an artist.
Bollocks
