It’s not a big match ? Really ? It’s the FA Cup Final FFS. Surely only winning the title or the Champions League final is bigger…..
So why don't the FA treat it as such ? that is my point.
They took a week to agree a k.o. time.
It used to be the last match of the season with coverage all morning, going to the teams hotel, interviewing fans, celebrating all the matches contested.
Now it's such a big match we can't broadcast it when Dr Who is on.

I noticed some hotel prices have dropped, probably Villa fans who pre booked cancelling and as we're playing Palace they're not being filled. For example the Wembley High road Travelodge was quoting £265 just for the Saturday night. Now you can book Friday and Saturday night for £245.

No, it’s not corruption, it’s the system. The system is a fucking joke.

Don’t get confused between away tickets and a Cup Final.

With cup final, it was asked who wanted to go, everyone says me, the kids, the dog. They get a total number that they requested, then got confirmation every ticket was granted.

With Prem away games, every branch has different rules, whether you attend meetings etc.
If only there was some sort of points system to be used to check loyalty.

When I see corruption and can do something about it, I generally do.
I am surprised that members who witness and experience it don't do something about it to be honest.
The OSC have mopped up spare tickets that others haven’t wanted for years, springs and roundabouts really

Quick comment about it being the last game of the season:
It often is, but we played three games after the 1969 final, and two games after the 2011 and 2013 finals. The season has already been compressed to a degree and we'd have to end the season a week earlier if the FA Cup final was to be the last game as the CL final is 31st May.

Surprised they didn't give it to Jones after his performance at Selhurst park. Has the Aussie reffed a final yet? I wouldn't have minded him.

Fair enough. No, Gillett not had a go yet. But he’s only in his fourth year in the league, so I’m sure his time will come.

It still is and I have had plenty often at very short notice
No it isn't as every away league match has sold out.
I am quite aware of where the supporters clubs late tickets come from when the last minute emails come from Mr Parker and if you want me to tell you I will and it would be very unpalatable for certain people.
Rest assured they are not surplus from the loyalty point holders scheme

Bollocks mate, no disrespect.

Drive to Brum or Stourbridge, Chiltern trains to London £50.

Match tickets top tier £80

Take some food and buy a bit for a treat.

Less than £200 for an unforgettable experience for you both
I’m driving and parking at Wealdstone.
Parking £7.50.
Overground return to Wembley Park for 2, about £30.
Petrol probably £50.
Sandwiches and snacks maybe £20.
A few pints and a burger, maybe £20.
2 tickets for me and my lad (aged 23), £100 to £250 (hopefully 2x £50).
Programme £10.
So, maybe about £240 at the cheapest, £400 at the most, creating memories with friends and family, following City.

It used to be but the sheer amount of live games on tv now and the fact almost everyone can stream them if they're not means it's value, except for the finalists, has been diluted.

Such was the lack of live football on tv years ago the fa cup final was a huge occasion. Everybody watched it and it was a full days event, usually starting early in the morning.
