I think that professional pride must become a thing with the Southampton squad at some point.
Who would actually want to be on a par or worse than a team containing that long haired rag twat Savage.

Just hope it’s not tomorrow.

Agreed. I had a shit trip back from there after we played a weakened side in the league cup 2 or 3 years ago
I think that was the match that cooked Cancellos goose, Pep thought his display was gutless and basically garbage ... amongst quite a few others that night!

I recall Pep was incensed at a few players after that game, he said as much in the local paper and on the radio .. and especially the 'older heads' he had playing, as, in Peps eyes, the kids he had out there put in more effort..

It only took Cancello to mess around a bit on the training ground after that, and he was a guaranteed gonner !

I dont think that night did anything for Phillips career at city either. Many were wishing him to start and he just ambled about and he was way off the pace. Unfortunately we then learnt that was his norm rather than an exception

Is Bobb injured again??
I don't think so.
There was a funny message from the Norwegian manager yesterday. Make of it what you will.

“He (Bobb) is just in an extremely competitive situation. That’s why he won’t be in the squad,” said Solbakken, as quoted by Sport Witness

“He (Bobb) is injury-free and training fully. But Pep Guardiola is currently taking out other players."

A **** of a night all round. Hurricane on way back, a34 was closed with no diversion signs, back home about 4 am. My passenger was ok tho, 24 cans of magners and 5 pints in the pub!

Ederson
Nunes
Dias
Akanji
Gvardiol
Kovacic
Bernardo
Kdb
Marmoush
Doku
Haaland.

Kdb and haaland link up for one of the last times with movement and potentially even service from doku and marmoush out wide is as good as weve got imo.

No messing about, be ruthless get the job done early then hopefully if the game's going well I'd like to see us give O'Reilly half hour in midfield.

No injuries 3 points and prepare for the final.

the club does.

well, i do too, that badge looks really good and i wouldn’t mind 4 more years of it.
Wish it had never been devised, nothing but a pita when we should really be working towards next season.

No doubt we'll all be caught up in it when it comes, though...

And if RM swing it so TAA can play, let's hope that Doku gives him another royal runaround (but with some end product, this time?).

Performances no longer matter just results. Southampton will give it a go, we just have to be better and don’t give the home crowd anything to latch on to. I have some awful memories of matches at the Dell and a few at st Mary’s. They will be desperate for even a point to beat Derby’s record low tally (I haven’t forgotten Derby took a point from us that season).

We’ve been better in recent weeks, certainly defensively, need to keep that momentum ahead of the cup final. Win tomorrow and we’re almost there on the champions league.

We really should be winning this so hopefully we have a good day out tomorrow.
