Not the best half. Southampton have made it difficult.

We have dominated but created very little. Space has mainly been out wide but Lewis and Gvardiol aren't really the kind of FBs that can exploit that.

McAtee has been a bit anonymous again. Would like to see him try and get in the game a bit. KdB looking a bit out of sorts. Foden has tried hard but nothing much coming off for him.

Hopefully Southampton will tire and we can exploit the space.

Personally I'd either change the FBs for Nunes and O'Reilly, who offer a bit more as attacking FBs, or put actual wingers on. If we do that, we should win.
 
very fortunate to beat Wolves and awful in the 1st half v one of the very worst ever PL teams. We are just a boring mid table team atm. Even our wins recently were just as fortunate as Wolves, largely thanks to the post.
 
Don’t think McAtee will be getting his CP cup final goggle coat if he has another half like that.

But we have to be much better than this. Couple of occasions where Kev and Phil have worked space inside and been in good position to shoot but turn it down to recycle, recycle, recycle.

Lewis excellent in midfield, let’s put him full back where he has reverted to the beige performances of before.

If I was McAtee with his ability, I’d be working my cock off to influence this game, he’s just pottering about ineffectual as fuck.

Who is making the incisive / risky pass? No one.
