On Pep yet again that result
So many times this year he has changed winning teams and ended up second best.
Marmoush should be telling him you’re playing me for the last 3 games if you want silverware and a top 5 position.

Man's lost the plot at times! When I first heard that interview with Capello where he called him arrogant, and that he makes it about himself by trying to outsmart the opposition with whacky line ups, I thought he was just being troll. Now I think there's some substance to what he said.

Embarrassing today.

We've got a cup final next week and it was obvious against Wolves that some of the lads are knackered. If Pep had played O'Reilly, Nunes, Marmoush, etc. from the start today and knackered them out for the cup final next week we'd have people saying he should have rested them in "such an easy game". In this kind of scenario he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.
We’ve not played for 8 days ffs! Thank fuck we didn’t have a champions league game midweek then. KDB in his prime, David Silva, Lampard, Gerrard, Messi and Ronaldo all played constantly. Not sure how any of them could be tired. He chips and changes that much that hardly anyone could be overplayed

Thread full of entitled clowns on here as usual.

Sure the boys may have had one eye on next week but still it’s always good to get a point and a clean sheet away from home which maintains our lengthy unbeaten run and leaves us well placed to finish top 5

Cup final to look forward to next week, all is well in the world

We’ve just drawn to one of the worst sides in premier league history , that have conceded 83 goals this season and are on twelve points. How is it entitled to think we would at least bludy win. That today was atrocious

There were players there not coming near for the ball, hiding further away, shocking. Lewis gets hammered most games but for all his faults never hides.

Kovacic constantly trying to get forward, play through balls, clearly not got the memo to pass side to side and backwards. Marmoush had a better 10 minutes than many others 90s, poor tactics and game management.

We should still get CL qualification, but not looking forward to either the Cup Final or CWC. Which means next season will be a similar long slog.

Kovacic had a good game in fairness, positive and worked really hard. He can hold his head high

Exactly. And you can't blame the team selection on Pep as well. Or the set piece coaching. Nothing to do with him. Or his tactics which resulted in crossing it shallowly into one player surrounded by 6 defenders. Nothing to do with him. Plus we had loads of the ball so that's bonus points.
Stats are misleading aren't they.

The only 1 that counts is the final score. Nil nil at the worst team in PL history is unacceptable.

Our first meaningful effort was Marmoush near the end.

We were fucking shit and Soton let us have the ball and we did fuck all with it.

If our C/ F is crowded out why continually cross the ball in, waste of fucking time.

As for the corners! Soton basically used them as time wasting exercises because we are fucking clueless with them. In swinging to the keeper to collect or 1 of the number of defenders to clear.

One if if not the worst game of the season.

We are a top side despite our problems with players - look at the table! . We’re recovering from dip in form by main players & many injuries

Well recover & upgrade the side in the summer.

Your faith in Pep doesn’t last long after 10 great seasons. One blip season & you want him out??

I’d prefer you to go TBH
It won't make any difference if we sign a few players this summer, the style of play needs to change, it's as stale as fuck and don't let these last five or six results cloud your judgement that we're on our way back. Forest and Wolves could've been totally different, the woodwork saving us in both

Lewis at right back is just a terrible idea. McAtee unfortunately isn't good enough - simply doesn't effect the game.

No width, no pace. I thought the subs made it a bit more direct and better, but too little, too late.

Haaland very static.

All balls into the box were pretty much atrocious. Set plays, bar one which Akanji headed over, were all dire.

Foden - I just don not know.

Least we didn't concede.

Cant be arsed, so off for a walk to look for the stray cats and give them some food.

Could be a Vital point gained in the end?

Anyone else?
I always like to take the positives after feeling crap for 10 minutes after a crap result!

Also no fucking way am I paying to watch Europe league. Opting the fuck out of that ticket scheme if we get relegated to that shit and utterly pointless competition. Sort it the fuck out blues.

For all the stick Nunes has taken he'd have been better than Lewis today.

Akanji coming into the team and breaking up the Dias and Gvardiol partnership and meaning O'Rielly is dropped is baffling.

McAtee playing ahead of either Doku or Marmoush makes no sense.

Nunes, O'Rielly and Marmoush should've all started today
And this is the thing with Pep. He doesn’t just bring in Akanji, or MacAtee, or Lewis or put Gvardiol to LB (which he really isn’t), or bring in Foden, or drop Omar, or bring in Erling.
He does the whole fucking lot, which MUST affect performance.

Utter garbage today. Very poor team selection and tactics and possibly worse in game management with the changes. It was obvious how Southampton would set up so we decided to play without any natural width. Well done….. ruined another Saturday

Entitled

Expect

Jesus, listen to yourself.
So it's wrong to even EXPECT anything now, is it?
So if you pay to watch a film and it's shite, you're happy?
Or go for a meal and it's inedible, you just drive home without commenting?
Bollocks, do you.

I bet you watched that game rubbing your hands together in glee - another chance to spout your precious claptrap on a post-match thread.

We spend 200m quid on players to bolster the areas we are painfully lacking in, and just one of those signings gets 6 minutes in a crucial must win game.
Make it make fucking sense, Pep!
Like my wife spending loads on expensive handbags and every time we go out she brings her stuff in a Tesco bag
