I think Palace will win this. They’re well organised and with special talents like Eze, Wharton and Mateta there set up to punish us despite us having more possession.

You want to start KDB, Gundogan and Kovacic in midfield? Too slow / old.

Bernardo can still play the quarterback role. That's what he did at Wembley.
Those 3 have been a pivotal part of 9 wins on a run one got dropped today and we couldn't continue it

Play like we did today & Palace will have a field.day.
No they won't. We were completely in control. Dominated the game. Just lacked something in the final third.

The only difference is, Palace will offer something on the counter.

But to suggest they'll have a field day is reactively bollocks.

Taken the words out of mouth.

I watched how they destroyed Villa and thought these will win the cup.

With Peps off the wall team selections, the only slight glimmer of hope is that Palace might be a bit jittery ad they are not used to Wembmey.

But if ours turn up with the half arsed attempt like last season ( ie they were hungover) previous experience counts for nothing.

I usually look forward to a cup final but I am seriously dreading this one.

This should make for some interesting reading over the next few days
Anyone thinking we're walking this - simply remember Palace should have been 0-3 at our place if Eze hadn't managed to stray offside for no reason.
We've work to do this week - and a no holds barred team meeting might not go amiss
But they won't have a team meeting. As us usual when there is only one game a week they all wing off in their private jets to Dubai, Paris, Milan etc. They really only train for about 2 days.

I see this next week as being absolutely no different. Palace meanwhile will be training every day.

I've had Wigan vibes about it since we won the semi - which tbh I didn't expect us to do so.

How far this once great team has fallen when I am dreading us playing Palace - who regularly even when we were excellent seem to have a hoodoo over us. Step forward Andros Townsend.

So no I don't see a win next week. But I would so love to be wrong.

We should have scored a couple ourselves by that offside goal. We battered them in the second half, they couldn’t get near us. This is a one off game though. They’ve never won a trophy before and City have a squad full of players that have won everything over the years. I fear it will come down to who ever wants it more. For me, the likes of O’Reilly and Marmoush are first names on the team sheet.

Pep will not change his tactics he will play Haaland but with no service to him its like playing with 10 men please pep just to give us some hope keep Lewis and Mc atee nowhere near the pitch

I don’t necessarily disagree with you mate, but just to play the advocate of the devil, Lewis was a bit of a difference-maker in the semi wasn’t he, so don’t you think he deserves a berth in the final?

The game at Southampton emphasised that O'Reilly and Marmoush need to start, and KDB should be used from the bench.

--------------Ortega
Nunes---Dias--Gvardiol--O'Reilly
---Kovacic--Lewis--Bernardo
-Marmoush--Haaland--Grealish
When O'Reilly and Marmoush came on they offered physicality, energy and pace and we looked more dangerous. Surely both start, but picking Pep's starting 11 is never easy as we all know.

I honestly dread to think what team selection Pep has got planned for the cup final.

He rotates his teams for the opposition.

Just for once Pep, throw that out of the window and play your best 11 on form, with game time.

TBH Inwas pretty confident of a result against Palace before today. Now it’s up in the air again.
