So far we've got away with our Faux Pas at Soton.

We winning both games is a long shot.

Well, we wouldn't actually have to in that scenario. If Arsenal lose to Newcastle, and then draw v Southampton then we'd need 4 pts to finish above them. Newcastle could actually lose their final game v Everton and still finish above them.

The only teams that need to be perfect to get ahead of Arsenal would be Villa and Chelsea

The scousers academy RB looks significantly better than ours.

Didn't watch the Forest game but I understand the Forest owner was pissed off because Nunez mad a substitution when there ws a Forest player receiving treatment - who after the sub had been made had to go off, meaning forest had to play wit 10 men... I think I'd be pissed off too.

Nunez said something like there was a breakdown in communications and he thought the player was fit to continue - effectively throwing the Physio under the bus.

Like I say I didn't see it but that's what i read into Nunez's post match interview.

Doesn’t excuse the fat slugs behaviour though.

Didn't watch the Forest game but I understand the Forest owner was pissed off because Nunez mad a substitution when there ws a Forest player receiving treatment - who after the sub had been made had to go off, meaning forest had to play wit 10 men... I think I'd be pissed off too.

It is amazing how many PL titles we have won with makeshift fullbacks. It has bit us in the arse big time this season.

The physio signaled to the bench that the player was ok to continue it was clear as day on sky and just as forest used their last stoppage the player fell to the ground again and they didn’t play with 10 men the player played the last of the match

It wasn't really a miscommunication, it was quite obvious what happened. Awoniyi was indicating he could carry on so Nuno subbed somebody else, but then it soon became clear he couldn't carry on because as soon as he stood up he laid back down again.

This sounds like a case of Nuno trying to protect his player but I think it was 100% Awoniyi saying he could carry on when he clearly couldn't.

Not a completely disastrous weekend after all.

Although we have been extremely mediocre for large parts of the season, I trust us to do enough to secure a CL spot.

Relying on other teams to help us out

It can happen.

Arsenal can still finish 6th if they lose against Newcastle and draw vs Southampton.

But... Newcastle have to beat Arsenal and Everton. Villa would need to beat Spurs and United. Chelsea would need to beat United and Forest. And City would have to beat Bournemouth and Fulham.

But it is still on the table.

That was one of the worst aspects of yesterday, when a team loads the box and you get an opportunity to shoot outside the box, you take it. Deflections, ricochet etc. Can go in your favour

Tbf up until this season we always had walker and even cancelo up until two seasons ago, 1 side we got away with it, both sides we couldnt cope
