Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

I've been on hold with City for about 20 mins. Suspect I may get a response here quicker.

I would like to look at options for relocation but don't want to miss out on renewing my seat before today's deadline if I don't like any of the available seats for relocation.

Do I renew now to avoid missing out? Is it then possible to relocate when the relocation window opens?

Renew and then relocate

Wasn’t the renewal window deadline yesterday?

Pretty sure you can't download a ST onto two phones. For this reason, my family is considering a burner phone with the ST downloaded, passed about...

You 100% can. Two people have one of my junior tickets on their phones since I bought it.

I'm potentially looking at going Flexi Gold but wanted to know what sort of discount there was versus standard matchday prices last season. I'll certainly meet the 10 game requirement but I was thinking about being a bit more picky, certainly around the winter midweek games or the stupid kickoff times.

I'm over 65 and the the concern I have about FG is that there's a huge gap between my pro-rata SC price and matchday concession prices.
Hiya pal. If you attended all 19 games - FG would cost you the same as a season ticket in that stand/block/area as such. So the discount from matchday prices is generous as such.

If you’re only going to do a handful or the minimum - The games are banded as such so your top 6 games will be more expensive than others and you only get your 1/16th discount of your £150 upfront fee for each game so you’d need to buy 16 to get rid of that fee as such. But in any case it’ll still be less than buying via a matchday membership.

Renew-go direct debit-relocate-cancel if you’re not happy before first instalment

If you move from full season ticket to flexi gold, do you keep your seat?
Of course! I should laugh but they’ve been demonised that much I can completely understand why you might think that, I wouldn’t worry about opinion, if it’s appealing or works for you give em a try

So I thought they relocated you wherever. The only thing that puts me off is you have to decide three weeks before. That’s no good if you live 250 miles north and bad weather is always at least a consideration. I have seen us decide not to attend the day before because of storm or snow forecasts (and still sell our seat on the exchange).

That would be the Value Golds, you pay a fixed cheaper rate and the club choose your seat, ideal for anyone who goes by themselves or wants to reduce costs. You can transfer up to 3 games on flexi, and there’s always the option of having a second phone with just the tickets uploaded on it

Still not as ‘flexible’ as having a full season ticket, deciding when you want to attend and when you don’t selling your ticket on the exchange. (We have two together so they sell within minutes). Still those days seem to have gone so I will renew and see where we get to at the end of the season.

No they’re not, and probably far too much hassle for most, but you can make them work if they suit your own situation. FWIW I believe the club are leaning towards the flexi’s as they encourage more engagement from the average fan, more hits on the site, a chance to sell you extras and so on. I managed my grandsons last season, and I often found myself trawling the official site after purchasing his ticket. I’d much rather they attempted to change match going fans habits than change the actual match going fan

Excuse my ignorance, but what do people mean by a burner phone? We’ve an old Samsung in the drawer that we decided might do the trick, but it’s too old to download a wallet onto. Says it can’t be done.

Yeah, I realise for some they will be fine and useful. We will try and do 10 games this season, if we don’t I have asked for a waiver (which I have had no response about yet). I still think this 10 match rule is ill thought out and there is a good chance it will be changed or relaxed but let’s see. Thanks for your help mate.

38 years as a season ticket holder ends today. Ticket 'retired' on just over 34000 points on my terms. I haven't lived in Manchester since I left home to join the forces at 16 and face a 3 hour each way journey for home games so I have transferred or returned tickets for daft kick off time games recently but always ensured my seat was occupied. My 'appeal' was met with a "suck it and see" generic email response so that's me. I'm done.
Same response as I received. Not even interested in your issues.

I suspect it won't be enforced as they will soon have a lot of extra tickets to shift in the NS.

Its essentally a spare phone thats nfc compatible. Doesnt need a sim card just update the ticket via wifi. You could probably get a nfc compatible phone for around £50. My son has a ticket on his actual phone and also on a burner phone just incase he cant make it.

I’ve spoken to the club about my 24 year son who’s had a season ticket next to me since he was 5. He’s a shift worker, 12hr days, 12 hrs nights, 4 on, 4 off. This year he attended 13 games and every game he missed was transferred to the same family member. Never an empty seat. I just wanted to check that if he couldn’t make 10, he wouldn’t lose his season ticket. They said they couldn’t make shift work an exemption and they suggested he change to a flexi gold. I really don’t understand why they’re being so pedantic. Once the fixtures are out he could look at his shift schedule and take a bit of leave. But then the games move!
In exactly the same position with my lad. Club phoned up and their decision was already made and we're never going to change their stance. Wasted phone call to be honest.
