Over on rawk I have seen a comparison with Macalister. Apparently, according to them, after winning the World Cup he came back to Brighton and, even knowing that he was leaving, signed a new contract so that Brighton would get a fee. This is what tront should have done they say.

You didn't once state that there is life outside of Liverpool and he is joining the biggest club in the world. All you stated in that post was about him securing his families future, like he was playing at Liverpool for free and he is a mercenary.
 
A young lad gets the choice between living in liverpool and living in madrid, its a no brainer on any level, the first thing that any scouser does when they get a few quid is leave and then spend the rest of their life telling everyone how brilliant liverpool is lah without ever going back.

The club has probably drip fed stuff to the media while the RM deal was going through like they did with Stirling - which fuels the fans outrage.

I was in Dawlish last week and can confirm this. My evidence is anecdotal involving a pissed up dipper who was goading a local who supports Spurs. The lad got shit for not supporting his local team unlike him who's the biggest scouser in the world. He was er..."escorted" out the back.

Their fans pride themselves on being a so called 'special club' and this entitlement is shown by 'this means more' and ' imagine being us' bollocks. But the so called best fans in the world showed their true colours yesterday with the embarrassing boos of TAA. I bet Alexander Arnold can't wait to leave now and who can blame him.
 
Fans have a right to express an opinion, even an offensive opinion, but I am very disappointed that Slot has not spoken out in support of TAA. All he has to say is he would hope that come the trophy presentation it would be nice if Liverpool fans could salute and thank the player for his efforts at the club,

If you were a young lad thinking of joining Liverpool's academy, I think you might think twice. Once you join a club, you are not beholden to them for life. The relationship between fans and a football club and players and a football club are not the same.
