Just out of interest. Anybody going for the £225 tickets (and up)? I stalled at £125 — £115 with FOC concession. That was most definitely my upper limit. I would not — and could not — have gone beyond. And I'm being put up by a friend in the south-east.

I got a £115 as well - that was dilemma enough! As we FOC's are only too well aware, you never know when it might be your last one, so I'd resigned myself to paying whatever I must. £115 is a helluva lot, but, it could have been worse.

Oh, yeah - 115: where have I heard that before?

Taken the words out of mouth.

I watched how they destroyed Villa and thought these will win the cup.

With Peps off the wall team selections, the only slight glimmer of hope is that Palace might be a bit jittery ad they are not used to Wembmey.

But if ours turn up with the half arsed attempt like last season ( ie they were hungover) previous experience counts for nothing.

I usually look forward to a cup final but I am seriously dreading this one.
“the only slight glimmer of hope” lol

Jeez man show some positivity

Palace are bang average, a bottom half PL team with a negative GD who we battered at home and should’ve beaten away had the ref given Rico his rightful penalty.

Sure we could lose, upsets happen in cup finals and we’ll carry the scars of the Rags and Wigan defeats to our graves. But we’re heavy favourites for a reason and all things being equal Father Ruben will be lifting that cup at Saturday teatime.

Yes they did but from some distance away, fairly have arsed as per the performance and only Dias came over. Sorry but spend a fortune watching city and I do call out bad performances.
Right

So your initial post on the subject was a complete lie. Now you’re not happy with the proximity of the players to the fans.

You’re making it up as you go along

People worrying about this palace team is it the same palace that shipped 5 to us 5 to Newcastle and drew 1-1 at Southampton. And let's get it right look at the stats v villa shots s.o t possession corners pass accuracy all in villa's favour a freak result and that against a villa team out on there feet.

We have won and lost cup finals as favourites so let's see how it goes when we are the underdogs (ignoring our higher position in the table, better form and fact we beat them 5-2 a month or so ago).

Fuck knows what Pep has planned for this but it wont be what most of us think or hope for.
IMO Pep should have received more credit for stabilising City this season. He is playing tactics that contradict how he would like to play the game for the benefit of the team i.e., low-risk football.

This is what I think he might play but I wondered when Akanji returned as to whether O'Reilly might play further forward. If there is a surprise, I think it might be O'Reilly playing as a box-to-box midfielder. I suggested that for Southanpton but Pep didn't do it. Perhaps he doesn't want to show his hand to Palace, or perhaps it's too much of a change for a Cup Final.

-----------Ederson
Nunes--Dias--Gvardiol--O'Reilly
-----Kovacic--Bernardo
-------------Rico
Marmoush--Haaland--Grealish

Ortega starts surely mate? My team would be:

Ortega
Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O`Reilly
Nico Gonzalez
Kovacic
Marmoush
Savinho
Doku
Haaland

Not the biggest fan of Rico.

Ortega started in the semi-final but wasn't Ederson injured then? Ederson started against Bournemouth in the FAC Q/F so I think Pep will pick Ederson. I don't think Pep is going to start with wingers. It would lead to an exciting game but we haven't managed to get that system to work. The wingers don't score many and are inconsistent and they lead to a lot of turnovers and without Rodri we can't defend them very well. So I think we'll see boring City at Wembley.

That leaves under more pressure to not concede though as we dont create enough?

Ortega
Akanji/Nunes
Dias
Gvardiol
O'Reilly
Gonzalez
Kovacic
De Bruyne
Doku
Marmoush
Haaland

Akanji over Nunes depending on fitness as he would be better defensively behind Doku & Pep will probably play Gundogan ahead of Gonzalez
