City’s New Kits

I think it's a really nice shirt, It looks alot better than the leaks that were released in weeks gone past.

Unfortunately like many others I don't have £145 to be buying myself and the child a shirt, Plus she would want a name on the back too which would bump it up to £160.

I ordered them from DHGATE, I actually ordered x7 shirts, x3 Home, x3 away and x1 club world cup shirt which came to a total of £95 including delivery.

Why the fuck did they get fat Bob(AKA John Thompson) to be the compare in the video?

He's a rag!
I think the logic was this:

City had an away kit in the 70s with a sash that people called “The Embassy Kit” because it looked like a packet of Embassy cigarettes.

Bernard Manning was a City fan and used to have the Embassy club.

Bernard Manning was a bad racist, and John Thompson used to have a character called Bernard Right-on who was like a piss take politically correct Manning.

£85 for adults £60 for kids.

Have City ever been more out of touch with their true fan base? Money grabbing bastards.

Its a club very aware of their standing in world football and that they're Americas most watched team. 85 is also just the going rate now for top level teams.

Port Vale will have the exact same GK shirts as us being Puma too and they'll be 20 less.

Thing with the DHGate kits is does the sponsor on the shirts not peel off after a few washes?

Suppose it depends where you get them, I’ve had the maroon shirt since October for playing 6 a side in. Not had an issue with the sponsor coming off and it’s being washed weekly, make sure I turn it inside out before it goes in the wash as well.

I presume Puma set their prices based on how much they are paying the club in sponsorship. Thing is most young people if my son and his friends are anything to go by don't think twice about paying these sort of prices for tops and sweatshirts so won't flinch at paying it for a football shirt.

How many people actually watch those videos? I get 10 seconds in before dying of cringe. It's almost as bad as the AC Milan "Citeh" one with the fake Manc accent.

Bag o' shite!

Watched the first minute in silence before turning it off. No idea who it’s aimed at, young, old, new fans, legacy etc?

Like the kit, by the way.

I rarely buy City shirts, but I splashed out on the Colin Bell one because, well, it is a thing of beauty. Worth the money.

I quite like this one, but £85 is an absolute piss take. My mate buys one for him and one for his son every year with a name on the back and, usually, the gold PL badges.

The kid will now be in adult sizes, so with prints on I’m guessing he won’t get much change out of £220?
£76.50 with 10% season ticket discount, helps a bit

You're not wrong. The market for streetwear is absolutely insane so for kids now dropping over £100 on a hoodie is just the done thing. Absolute insanity.

All depends on the seller.

I've bought a few for other teams to play 5 a side in. Had a Barcelona one where the printing came off after 1 wash and there was red staining in the blue striped.

I have a Benfica one from the next season that you'd never be able to tell was fake and has had no issues at all.

Just spent £99 on 9/10 year old new kit with 10% discount. bargain...

With DHGate, the images don't seem to the Puma logo - do the shirts come with these on?

Absolutely refuse to carry on paying £100+ for a kit when my lad wants about 6 a season.
