Really looking forward to this. Last two cup finals have been too tense to enjoy because of playing United, but this one feels a bit more relaxed. Obviously I'll be gutted if we lose, but it wouldn't hurt in the same way so am seeing this as a bit more of a free hit and just going to enjoy the day. A lot of people thought we wouldn't beat Forest in the semi, and can see this going a similar way. Think the players will step up when it matters. Just hope Pep doesn't prioritise the Bournemouth game too much.

I agree. Weirdly, I'm not sure what the outcome is if Pep prioritises the Bournemouth game - does that mean he plays the fogies in the cup final or next Tuesday? Not sure what our best team is anymore. I think I'll ignore the team sheet and just hope that the sky blues win.

They're going to be right up for this. Potentially their first major trophy and a chance to play in Europe next season. I hope we turn up and are not sleep walking into this final.

Should be a close game as most finals. Crystal Palace have kind of momentum and many very good players, Eze, Wharton (i understand hes gonna make it after injury for the final), Mateta, Guehi, decent options on the bench like Nketiah, Chilwell and proper coach. In terms of trophies its their most important game ever.

As so we should not scold the team even if they lose, unless we gonna serve up some kind of a horror show.

Thats said Im pretty sure we gonna make it. Main factor for our improvement lately is a much better performance of our defense. Have a feeling its gonna be Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol back to LCB and O'Reilly. They deserved it through earlier stages.

Crystal Palace not gonna do a Southampton, should be a bit more open games.

One funny hunch I have is Jack Grealish is going to start. As some kind of repayment for being on the bench lately. Jacks time in City may be close to over (personally gonna be sad about it and hope for another solution), but: a) he started FA CUP games against Plymouth and Nottingham, coming on against Boro, b) hes been quite good when playing.

The team that will never be :0(

But only I can hope for!!!

Way better than the team put out at Southampton :0)

And yes I know I can’t spell, but this ain’t school :0(

Ederson

Back Three

Kush
Dias
Guardiol

Midfield 4

Nunes
Gonzales
Kovatic
O’Reilly

Attack, Attack, Attack

KDB
Omar :0)

And the Big Lad upfront :0)

IMO

Bring on The Palace !!!

They won’t like it up ‘em :0)

Nervous for this one. They’re dangerous on the attack and actually have an end product with Eze in brilliant form.

Like a lot of blues I’m anxious about the game but I think Palace will be much more nervous than our boys. Pressure is on them IMO.

And I bet they have been training all week, practicing set pieces.

Meanwhile City coach and players. Certainly not at the CFA. I bet they only came back from their jaunts yesterday.

I hope i am wrong and we turn in a good performance. Palace are no pushover.

I'm actually with you on this, and usually I'm all for rest.

We last played on Saturday. Warm down day at CFA on Sunday. Day off Monday and, for me, they should have been back in and in prep for these last 3 games on Tuesday.

I get that this season has been mentally tough but physically, we still don't look particularly sharp. We've not had the Champions League playing every 3 days schedule since February. Obviously the Sport science department know better than me but everything has just felt a bit lax recently.

Why did you put Kush in lol!
You know deep down he will not get a start .
Not with Pg until he gets the way he wants him to play on the training ground .

Thanks for letting me post. There's been talk on here about how familar City are with Wembley. Thing is Palace have played there 9 times in the last few years...mostly in play offs or semi finals. Now the players may not be that familiar, but they have a fair few internationals that have played big pressure important games...One thing for sure, the fans are. Palace fans really love going and think they do Wembley well...As good and maybe better than most.. expect a decent show on Saturday. Good luck to all. Expect very loud, the fans certainly won't be overawed. 12th man and all that :) Personally I'll be watching from here in Aus.. along with at least 100 in 'our' pub in Melbourne at 1.30 in the morning... that will repeated around the country. See you Saturday...

City sold out about 35 minutes ago by the way.

I have this concern that Pep will prioritise the Bournemouth game and pick a mix and match team based on Tuesday. I’m not saying he is wrong to do that as I agree with Pep when he says CL qualification is “much much more important”
It’s just that I normally vote for us win pretty much every game but I chose lose on this one just because of the club’s priorities. Palace can afford to throw the kitchen sink at this while we have a balancing act to do.

We cannot afford extra time.

Win the Final and we will be raring to go on Tuesday night, bugger about and lose the final and the nerves will well and truly start to jangle.

He almost certainly will do that but a similar approach was still enough to beat Forest.

Maybe see something like this.

Ortega
Nunes
Dias
Gvardial
O’Reilly
Kovacic
Gundogan
Silva
Foden
Marmoush
Haaland

Wouldn’t be my favoured line up but I can see something similar to this.

They're going to be right up for this. Potentially their first major trophy and a chance to play in Europe next season. I hope we turn up and are not sleep walking into this final.

They had the chance of that against a poor a United in 2016 and messed it up so I wouldn’t read too much into it. I can guarantee they would 100% prefer to be playing Forest than us!

My main concern is Eze. He is a talented lad and looks in very good form.

Whatever happens, our job as fans is just get behind them and show them what we are all about. If we lose then so be it. It’s not the end of the world against Palace and I wouldn’t begrudge them a trophy and that experience if they deserve it.

I think it will be a tight game. The ability to bring on Doku and Kev later on may well be the decider if it’s in the balance.

Looks like decent weather so a good day out with no bother hopefully.

Good to hear we are wearing blue too!

I can't help but feel the club whilst the club will aim for the win on Saturday, the focus will mainly be on Bournemouth.

Didn't Pep say the other day that Bournemouth is a bigger match for the future of the club?

Something on those lines.
