A proper big bollocks move, getting a top tier player who has only just signed a new deal until 2030.

I’m not one for ‘profile’ signings but getting somebody so highly regarded is a nice sign. Same with Wirtz. Last one was Gvardiol?

The only problem with clearing so many out in one fell swoop is that the depth in quality/experience just won’t be there, especially when things invariably go awry next season. That problem will be even more pronounced if the replacements are largely young and new to the country/league.
After the last two seasons I favour ripping off the bandaid, but I suspect the club will pin another bandage and pray for the best.

Yeah I thought it was really strange but started to dig into it and found some reports of Pep not liking the Dutch guys in the changing rooms when he was a player, despite his idolisation of Cruyff.

It’s probably not that, tbf it’s been relatively poor era for Holland in terms of top class players since Pep got to Bayern and beyond.
