I watched that on telescope, first half from a blues feed and the second from a Palace fans feed as we were attacking their end.

A bloke behind who was filming was moaning like fuck and I always remember him saying " Fucking Yaya Toure, if he scores this I'm off...GOAL...right that's it I'm off".
Me too, I remember that so well !

Really not sure how this will go, to be honest. If we play like we did last weekend (which I'd be hopeful we won't, given it's a final) or in the opening 20-30 minutes against Palace a few weeks back, and they play like they did against Villa in their s/f, they'll win. But.... if we bring our A game to the party, we should comfortably beat them. Time for Erling to break his cup final scoring drought!

Is the fa cup final not a big send off?
Yes. And is Kev a certain starter on Tuesday?

Zabaleta’s final match was played when we needed two wins to be certain of CL qualification. Despite its importance it was like watching a testimonial game. Very low intensity. Players were making unnecessary passes to Zaba so that he could receive the fans adulation. They were trying to fashion a farewell goal for him. Fortunately WBA were safe in mid table, nothing to play for, on the beach. So no harm done and a comfortable win.

But will Pep remember that match when he picks the team for Tuesday? Might he save Kev for a late substitution?

Heard on a podcast that Kovacic has played in 4 FA Cup finals, and lost the lot. He's clearly a jinx. Don't dare pick him Pep; leave him in charge of the half time oranges.

Palace will come at City like an express train right from the start so let's not have any of the several dozy moments the back four have had between them over the season. City's lovely football might not be on show these days but at least let's play lively football. Get some intensity in there. Marmoush up front. And please, Pep, start Jack Grealish in the middle.
Cup Final eve brings many memories of this great day. There's the story of Frank Swift who was a spectator at the 1933 Final having ridden his motor-bike down from Fleetwood where he worked on the fishing trawlers, then playing in goal himself the next year and fainting with excitement at the final whistle. I can still see Bobby Johnstone's diving header against Newcastle in '55 and Bert the next year - Bill Leivers from that team is still alive but increasingly frail, I believe. How about Summerbee going down the wing and pulling it back for Neil Young to score in '69, let's have Doku doing the same for Marmoush while Mike watches from the stands and laughs and remembers. Above all, City, play like you WANT to win the Cup! If there's one story from past Finals for the present City team to be inspired by I'd take Roy Paul before the Birmingham game threatening the players with violence if they lost two finals in a row. Who's going to supply that fury tomorrow? Come on, City, send Palace the way of B'ham, Leicester, Stoke, Watford and Trafford, the F.A. Cup wins in my lifetime. City 3-0.

Im pleased to see there appears to be a swell of people tipping Palace - good, I hope everyone does.

All Pep needs to do this evening is make the entire squad watch the video of last years final. Remember how vile that felt? Dont let it happen again

I am fervently hoping that Pep takes note of the Soton debacle.
1. We need our full backs high up the pitch, wide out.
2. O’Reilly must start as must Marmoush.
3. Doku must come on no later than the 70th minute.
4. We must play at a faster tempo with the occasional early long pass to keep Palace on their toes.
Pep, we lost last year to the rags thru poor tactics; please don’t do it again.
