Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

We are absolutely shit. Don’t think we get champions league. Tactics are outdated. Possession for just having possession, no threat nothing.
A couple of weeks ago it was a different kettle of fish. We aren't fully at our best but we aren't shit either.

I didn’t think we played that bad today by this seasons standards. Keeper sent off and penalty scored etc etc

But far too many times this season we get to the edge of the oppositions penalty box and we look lost. Today Ankaji constantly playing a safe pass in the second half on the edge of their area was symbolic of this

All on Pep.

But don't agree he should walk.

The next season is going to be damn intense that's for sure though!

If we don't qualify for the CL, Pep shouldn’t just walk, he should run. He's been clueless for the last 12 months.
Like Foden and Haaland, does anyone actually believe that Pep will rediscover his mojo next season? I certainly don't see it.

Since when did our defence become our playmakers, turning down crosses again and again to pass to to Dias etc, joke and hard to take, var fucking abysmal

Honestly don't think our players show a lack of effort. The decline is down to a perfect shit show of aging, injuries and transition.
Pep has a load of credit in the bank, obviously, but I'm not sure him signing an extension is what we need.

I was told quite stridently by many people when Dias won the ball and gave away a penalty v Villa just a few weeks ago that it didn't actually matter that he touched the ball.

Now apparently it does.

Whatever we tell ourselves, the rule is just "whatever the referee wants to happen". That's not suggesting they're corrupt or anything, they're just making whatever decision will give them the easiest life in a given situation.

It’s not just about whether he touches it, it’s the impact on the ball and the angle of the challenge too.
